My boyfriend and I stayed 5 nights and were so incredibly pleased with the accommodations with such a friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in the Mariposa bungalow and had a breathtaking view of the ocean while also feeling immersed in the forest. It was a wonderful place to unwind and rest after long days hiking or spent at the nearby...

Beautiful views, outstanding service and gorgeous weather made our trip to Las Terrazas perfect. We stayed in the Mariposa Suite which has a wonderful view overlooking the property and the ocean in the distance. Along with the tremendous view, the staff was the BEST I've come across travelling. They were always very friendly and went out of their way to...

One of the best places we stayed in Costa Rica, gorgeous views and very nice room with air-condition! Drive up to the property is challenging, especially if arriving in dark. Excellent breakfast. Owner, Jonathan, very nice and helpful to visit the beach, tips and gave us beach towels. I wish we had stayed there longer.

We spent a fantastic week at Terrazas de Ballena in April 2015. At first, the unmade road up the terrazas got us really worried. After the long trip we had just had from Arenal, that last kilometer was hard, even with a little 4x4. However, as soon as we arrived, we realized it had been well worth the effort !...

We said in the Mono suite and loved everything about Las Tarrazas - it is even a fun adventure driving up to the place! We had a lovely view off our balcony - in fact each bungalow has a great view. You feel nestled in the jungle with just the sounds of birds, frogs, cicadas, and of course, the loud...

First thing first: you need a 4x4 to get up the driveway into this hotel. The road leading to it is very bumpy and a bit steep, and the final driveway is a bit challenging to navigate. With that said, once you arrive, wonderful views down to the ocean and whale's tale at Marino Ballena park will greet you. The...

We stayed at Las Terrazas de Ballena for 3 nights starting on January 24th through the 27th. The bungalows are beautiful and the beds are really comfortable and fit 4 adults very comfortably. The outside kitchens were perfect for making a couple meals and there is a great grocery store at the bottom of the hill (Definitely need a 4x4...

This was my best experience in Costa Rica by far! We stayed 4 nights and loved every minute. Carla, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful. Not only did she make us a different delicious breakfast every morning, she helped us with tours, restaurant sugestions, a stuck rental car, and finding a new hotel when Pirate Cove in Drake Bay...

This is a great place to stay. Very clean room and pool, Rather remote and sufficiently far from the highway, so the only noise you will experience is a bounch of screaming frogs! Comfortable chairs at your personal balcony as well as at the lovely pool. Note that this is a B&B so do not expect lunch and dinner. However,...

We stayed 4 nights and rented 2 bungalows (family of 5). The cabins are lovely, with all the creature comforts you'll need in the jungle, and more (WiFi, TV, little kitchen area outside). Breakfast is absolutely fantastic and changes every day, it alone is worth the price. Really great breakfast - plan in some time to eat and enjoy it!...
