The hosts Cindy and her brother were very friendly when we came, when we were there and when we left! They give advice where to go and what to do in Uvita. Our clean and big room had a little balcony with view on the forest and a refridgerator. The food at the restaurant was really good, credits to Cindy...

We arrived in Utiva without anywhere booked and found this place on Booking. Com. We decided to walk down to check it out (about a 7 min walk from the bus stop). We were greeted by Victor who couldn't have been nicer. He showed us what they had available - a cabin in the Forest with 3 single beds and...

The Latin family that owns these cabinas are ultra friendly and accomodating. The scenery is immensely beautiful and the cabinas with private bathrooms are of great quality for the price. I loved this place and would stay here again. It's close to a mini market for fruit and water. The restaurant was closed each day I was there without explination,...

Our family – two adults and two adult daughters - had a wonderful time at Cabinas los Laureles. The cabins are new, very clean, comfortable and quiet, with air conditioning. The Perez Calderon family that runs this business, is very friendly and helpful and they are fluent in English if you are not comfortable with Spanish. The food at their...

Very comfortable hostel that is cheap considering Costa Rica prices. The outdoor area has a very nice garden and is close to the forrest. The rooms are big enough and have AC. We stayed two nights and the rooms weren't cleaned again but it wasn't really necessary. The food is tasty as well and the family running the place is...

The Lonely Planets Guide describes Cabinas Los Laureles as offering camping. Two inquiries on this subject received vague responses about there being a problem with camping at this time and would I care to reserve a room or cabin. The distinct inference is that camping is available only after all rooms and cabins are booked. I don't know if there...

My husband and I left Guanecasta area and headed to Manuel Antonio. Upon arrival there it was so busy and hectic we high tailed it down to Uvita. Having no room booked we asked around and someone told us to turn left at the bank and there are various lodging options there. We stopped at Cabinas Los Laureles and they...

We spent the longest time here while on our honeymoon in December. The area itself is great for everything- tours to Corcovado and the Osa peninsula, visiting Manuel Antonio and Quepos, the very unique Whale's Tail, hikes or atving through jungles, waterfalls (including Uvita's own that you can slide down) and just lounging on very sparsely populated and sometimes completely...

Victor, the owner of Los Laureles, has created very nice accommodations on his land. He gave us a very warm welcome, we felt immediately at home. You can choose between cabinas close to the road, or cabinas that are more remote located in his private jungle. The cabinas are spotless, and have a good working AC. During our 3-night stay...
