I stayed at La Cusinga with my 13 year old son, a friend and her 16 year old son. It was the perfect surrounding for teens to explore. The bungalows are modest but clean. At first I didn't think I could handle not having air conditioning (August is humid). But after the first day, the service, the food and the...

We stayed 3 nights at La Cusinga in Uvita, Costa Rica. Excellent, helpful staff and beautiful location and views. We stayed in the "Twin" cabins (Las Gemelas) - clean, incredible view. The food is cooked and served in an outdoor cooking area. Breakfast is included, lunch and dinner were available. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The beach was...

Beautiful setting, brilliant views and gorgeous local produce cooked in the traditional Costa Rican way made for a divine week that left us wanting to...

Fabulous personnalized service, Spacios rooms, wonderful to have someone cook for you and just a few other guests, great views, staff made us feel at home and pointed out wildlife-hollar monkkeys and white faced monkeys. They were amazing. I was concerned about going during rainy season- but it only rained 2 out of 4 days for about an hour each...

La Cusinga exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly helpful and the food was delicious! We arrived without reservations, so we rented the dorm room. It slept 12 in bunks and a full. It turned out to be a terrific choice for the five of us. We had sweeping views of the ocean from our room and deck. We were...

While we did not stay at La Cusinga, our four course Friday night dinner at the Gecko Restaurant was the highlight of our trip to the area. Make no mistakes, this is destination dining in a completely rustic setting. We had dinner there on a tip from friends who travel regularly to the area, and a week of eating in...
