Excellent location of the bungalow, just 100 m to clean beach with easy access to the sea. 3-rooms bungalow with well equiped kitchen and comfortable beds. Wello operated wi-fi. Friendly staff. Market and few restaurants in walking distance. Place recommended for vacation
We spent two nights here in early September 2019. It is about 15 km outside of Propriano, and it is right on the beach. The hotel is nice, not elegant, but the location is fantastic. We loved listening to the waves at night. Decent bar and restaurant--again, nothing special but the location is amazing. We loved eating outdoors looking out on the beach. Very good service and nice amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in one of the mini villas for this hotel which was just across the road. It was simple but had a well equipped kitchen, an outside barbecue and was very clean. You had to hire the bed linen and towels which i think is weird, but hey ho. The grounds are a bit scrubby but I think the large trees make it very dry. It was lovely and quiet. My one gripe was the air conditioning which was only in the living room, which made sleeping uncomfortable and it was only June, so not that hot. There is a Spa about 150m away where you can get groceries including fresh meat, fresh bread and fruit etc. which was convenient. A few restaurants locally but not much else. Large towns are a short distance but long drive away on frankly terrible roads - serpentine, narrow and the surface mostly awful. The hotel has a great bar (great Aperol spritz and best mojito I’ve ever had...) and fabulous restaurant, a quiet beach with no blaring music or beds which you have to hire. We bought an umbrella and threw our towels down and chilled out. Staff were friendly and helpful and very tolerant of my dreadful French!…
It was such an amazing surprise ! A 3 star hotel that is probably one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed . The views are just incredible . It felt like our room was on a cruise ship . Really . We slept with our door open and heard the ocean all night long ... The room was big , even by American standards . The restaurant was very good with delicious food . Que plan to come back !
It's so strange, we have visited the island twice, and had decided that there were other places in France to see. It's a designated destination; because you have to fly or ferry your car overland, and car rental in Corsica is a bit more expensive. That being said, we landed in Figari and drove to Olmeto, not too far of a drive. Arriving at Hotel Abbartello we checked in, and were given a very spacious room with a beautiful sea view. The beds were comfy, the bathroom well equipped, and we had a spacious balcony with which to enjoy the sea view. This hotel is like a mini resort, with a great bar, seating by the sea, a nice beach, and an adjacent restaurant. We usually don't have breakfast; but enjoyed room service a few mornings. What a treat! We were so impressed with the hotel that we wished we had booked more nights, and didn't have to drive on to our next Corsican destination. As others have said the staff is super, the bartenders so kind and helpful. We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant; since I felt that the choices were somewhat limited. Returning home we both decided that we would definitely return to Corsica just to enjoy the relaxing property of Hotel Abbartello. If you have seen the island and the Calanques, you can just remain on the property and enjoy all it's amenities!…
