We enjoyed two nights at this delightful hotel overlooking the Adriatic. The accommodation is quirky in a really good way. We had a lounge/kitchen and shower room on the first floor above were two bedrooms and a further bathroom and above them was a glorious roof terrace equipped with fridge, sink and even a third loo!! Breakfast was plentiful and served outdoors - at socially distanced tables. Everyone at Casa Dorsi was extremely friendly and helpful and we felt very privileged when we left and were waved off by our lovely hostess We enjoyed our stay at Casa Dorsi enormously. Should you be planning a trip to Old Town Polignano a Mare we thoroughly recommend you take a look at their website as their rooms are varied both in size and design.
Casa Dorsi is made up of a few separate rooms, apparently. We stayed in the Sea View, which is a multi-level apartment in Old Town Polignano A Mare. Carlo and his wife, the innkeepers, were wonderful. The place was spotless and the overall location was great for reaching key areas on foot. But a few major issues for us that impacted the quality of our stay: First, the location of the Sea View is adjacent to a photo stop in Old Town. It is a staircase with poetry written on the steps. This brought people to just under our bedroom window at all hours of the night. The thin Italian glass of our window was no match for the loudness of the revelers. This occurred each night and was especially horrible on Saturday when the noise continued to 2 am. As soon as one group left, another equally loud group would arrive. Second, reviews on other websites raved about the included breakfast. When we arrived, Carlo indicated it was not being offered this time of year. He did stock our room with some essentials which was a nice gesture. Just check with him in advance of your stay if this is important to you. Third, internet was spotty and unreliable. My wife could pick up a weak signal on her Apple, but my PC could not. I did get some service on my Android devices but again very weak. At check-in Carlo indicated it was the the thick walls of the property. I agree, but an upgrade to better routers would be helpful. I could not conduct business while staying there. Finally, each room here, including the terrace is accessed by a narrow circular stairway with very steep steps. It was a hassle to reach our bedroom (2d floor) to the kitchen (3d floor) and the terrace (4th Floor). If you are large or have knee problems, keeps this mind when. The connected bathroom to the bedroom is tiny, slightly bigger than an airplane's. It was cute on day 1, but not so much later on during our stay. We so wanted to love our stay here. The location in Old Town was perfect and the view from the terrace was wonderful. But the overnight noise and lay out of the unit greatly impacted our enjoyment of the property.…
What a location! Polignano a Mare is bananas crazy with crowds but this place felt like home amidst the madness. Carlo’s hospitality was appreciated, as was the breakfast, which was surprisingly fantastic.
Our group of 12 absolutely loved staying at Casa Dorsi in May 2019. Our host Carlo was most gracious, attentive to every detail, made superb breakfasts, and made us feel most welcome. We would not hesitate to return to Casa Dorsi and enjoy the charming location and immense hospitality.
My wife and I stayed here and it was a wonderful and relaxed holiday. Carlo and his wife were the perfect hosts. Would definitely recommend and we will be back next year. The views are amazing and the rooms were perfect.
