I have no complaints. It was better than I expected. Service was great. And the location? Superb. If you are thinking to enjoy Panzano vinefestival - this is your choise. Restaurant is also grear but it is open only for dinner.

We chose this hotel as we attended the wine festival which is right on the doorstep. Upon arrival we were greeted with warmth and given our room key. The room was bigger than expected, with a nice sized bathroom. Breakfast is minimal with a choice of cereal, fruit juice, meat, cheese and bread with jam. Dinner in the restaurant, which...

Happened to be in Panzano in Chianti one night after a long day touring. We stopped in town to check out the Butcher Dario Cecchini. We had had a late meal at the Banfi Winery and decided to have a light dinner at the Villa Sangiovese. I should have known better but there were only two couples dining. We sat...

After an absence of four years, my wife and I had a week at the Villa Sangiovese at the end of June 2012. What a delight to discover that the hotel continues to be so well-run and a thoroughly relaxing place to stay. We ate in the hotel every evening (except Wednesday, when the restaurant is closed). The pasta dishes...

We've been coming to Villa Sangiovese for a number of years and encouraged our close friends to stay. I celebrated my 60th birthday here with friends from the UK. To me it is always an oasis from my hectic life back home. I love the hotel, its owners who are always extremely hospitable, helpful and friends, the surroundings, the atmosphere,...

Wonderful location. Lovely rooms. Mine hosts could not be more helpful and charming and courteous. Panzano is an unsung gem of a town. Walls, restaurants, artisan wine makers, artists, a haute couture and hand made shoe person, France's most famous butcher, a castle lived in as apartments, vineyards as far as the eye can see - and the Villa Sangiovese...

We stayed one night at the Villa as part of our self guided hiking tour. Our accommodation was booked by David Charnes Tours. We were not disappointed. After walking all morning, we arrived grubby-looking and tired from our hike. Despite the fact it was hours away from a check in time, we were welcomed and brought to our rooms so...

Usually, we are not going in hotels, we prefer to stay in " agriturism"., but when we arrived in the chianti area, many places were still closed because of winter time. So, we stopped in Villa Sangiovese, just for 1 night. The room was nice and clean, well heated, and at the breakfast, we were very surprised, it was a...

Do not stay here if you have a car. The Villa does not provide parking to guests. Do not stay here if you are physically unable to carry your bags up three flights of stairs. The staff will not help you. Do not stay here without areoguard. The hotel windows do not have fly screens, and the mosquitoes will eat...

Lovely family run hotel. Terrace at the back is so peaceful with a stunning view. We usually spend our holidays rushing around trying to see lots of things but this place was so nice we just spent all afternoon sitting on the terrace reading and looking at the view, enjoying a bottle of local wine. The town itself is small...
