Returning for our 5th time at the Castillo Del Sol we stayed for 3 weeks over Christmas and New Year (2014/2015). The rooms are basic which is reflected in the price we paid. Rooms are clean as are all the public areas. We had clean towels and bed linen every 2/3 days. The reception staff very friendly as are all...

We spent a wonderful time in Puerto Rico. (7 nights in Castillo Del Sol) Rooms are very basic and they definitely need a revamp. But we cannot complain we got what we paid for. They are closing for couple of month next year. I hope rooms will be a little bit more equipped when they reopen next year. Kettle, iron etc....

Budget hotel. The rooms are ok but a bit worn down. Cooking equipment is minimal. Coffee maker, toaster, TV, Iron etc is extra and quite expensive. No saftybox in the room, but the reception, wifi we paid for work shoddily.

We stayed here and had a fantastic stay, rooms are basic but very clean, special mention for Lorraine who does the entertainment, she is so good at what she does and seems to really enjoy it herself, so don't be shy and get involved, receptionists very pleasant and always had a smile for guests, can't wait to go back

We stayed at the hotel in November and the weather was still in the mid 20's. Lovely! Very lively town. The only problem was that all the hotels in Puerto Rico seem to be on a mountain slope, so be prepared to tackle plenty of steps! Saying that, taxis are pretty cheap. No problems at all with hotel. There's a...

Nice little hotel, very pleasant staff, Domingo the dj/entertainer was very funny and friendly. Nice little bar right by the pool. If you need exercise there's a steep set of steps all the way down to the main road into Puerto Rico. Rooms very basic but have all you need for a holiday.
