Wanting a calm retreat ? Don’t stay here. Although the restaurant is really good, the soundproofing is not existing in the rooms. We had a room 3 floors above the restaurant and we were disturbed by the chairs of the restaurant sliding between 7 to 10 am and 6 to 10 pm. And that was in the room with a view on the lake.
Also, the hotel is non-smoking, but they put ashtrays on the balcony. Unfortunately our room neighbors spent the evenings/nights smoking like chimneys, and that disgusting cigarette smoke was coming into our room through the balcony window.
And on the other side of the hotel the road has some heavy trafic. Oh, the delivery truck at 5 am is noisy too.
And the cleaning ladies were talking very loud (one shouted a big “Scheisse” which surprised/shocked me and another couple in the hallway).
It’s a shame, because the rest of the staff is really really nice, but it’s not a hotel to rest.

Beautifully located hotel right on Lake Lucerne. Room was modern and top furnished (air conditioning!). Good beds. Nice bathroom. Lovely terrace on the lake where you can have excellent breakfast. We also dined there. Very tasty and nice choice. A strong thunderstorm came over, but moving from terrace inside of a full restaurant went smoothly and without problems. Excellent and friendly staff. Incredibly nice hotel right on Lake Lucerne in a top location. Within walking distance of the bus or ship station and the Klewenalpbahn. Whether a beautiful bike tour, a leisurely boat ride on the lake, or a beautiful hike in the mountains is all possible directly from the hotel. Even it has a direct one to bathe in the lake. Wonderful location just in fron of the lake. Rooms are rather small and at least in summer can be very hot. Staff members are the highlight of this hotel. All the restaurant team worked in a 100% professional way, always friendly with a smile. Specially Flavio has a great attitude. Not to forget about the quality of the food, which is excellent.
