Great hotel convenient for some off road cycling and within walking distance of some great pubs where you can see some local colour! The hotel was tastefully decorated and really felt like a journey back in time. Drove down from London and the motorway made it an easy trip. Having said that the nationally connected train station is only down...

Fantastic stay at this grand house! Our hosts Sarah and Niall were very welcoming and offered lots of information about things to do in the area and places to visit. Breakfast was a treat and included home smoked fresh salmon with our scrambled eggs. A wonderful few days that went by too quickly, would definitely go back again to stay...

this was a weekend trip with 3 friends for a little reunion. The hotel is in a picturesque setting with stunning views over the sea. It is in a quiet area but still only a couple of minutes walk from the Station. It is conveniently situated to explore Devon by car or train. We had dinner at a beautiful Italian...

I spent a few days here last autumn (2016) Sarah and Niall are very hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble and they did everything they could to ensure my stay was a comfortable one. The house is interesting and in a great location for the town.

An impressive dinner awaited our party after a long drive from Surrey.... Homemade fish soup and freshly made home baked tomato bread was followed by a fabulous fruity bread pudding. Our rooms were very spacious with sea views. The...

I have stayed here many times over the years. It was at one time a beautiful mansion such as you would see in 50s movies. Now it has seen its heyday and is now a charming guest house. Always a warm welcome with breakfast of legendary proportions. Recently redecorated inside but still with 50s furniture. Rooms clean and beds very...

My husband has happy memories of staying at this hotel on family holidays in the 1970's and this prompted us to choose Woodlands again when we visited Teignmouth. We stayed for four nights and it is a great place to stay. The old house is truly beautiful with large rooms and the most stunning views of the sea and Teignmouth...
