We have just returned from our third visit. Absolutely Fabulous experience, our Hosts John & Bev are the best. Our accommodation was immaculate, along with the faultless Menu, both Bar & Main Meals. Ours was a Bowls holiday, I guess the Golf Breaks are just as good. See you both next year. Mike

Amazing nature around, very quiet , country luxury accommodation. Marvelous stay with friend in amazing wooden house with sauna. We loved our stay and definitely will come back. Private lake for fishing. Every evening barbecue, every evening sauna, every evening nice evening :). Lots attractions around to spend the day with children: tank museum, monkey park, Durdle door and beaches... More

We had the bungalow which sleeps 8 in 4 twin bedded rooms and it was marvellous. 3 days of golf and a selection of meals which would not be beaten in any golf and country clubs that I have ever stayed at.

3 x par 9 couses, all different and all tricky. So well organised and well kept. Book a chalet, they are fabulous. Sauna, loads of room, we had our meal delivered on saturday and just chilled. I could stay there for ever

I stayed here for the first time, the group of friends that I went with were returning guest. I now know why! Great accommodation, great food, great golf. We stayed in one of the lodges, which were bigger than most people's houses, very spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. They are even child friendly. We had dinner included in our... More

There were six of us all elderly golfers, we had one of the chalets. Acomodation excellent as is shown above, very clean and functional for golfers on a break. The catering in the restaurant was very good indeed, we had breakfast which was buffet and then a 3 course dinner in the evening. The choice was variable and included in... More

Have been here twice. This time we were in the log home which was fantastic. It had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. We had full board plus golf, this time the food was so much better, three course meal at the end of the day, everything was great. Breakfast was also very good, with lots to... More

This is the second year running we as a group of golfers have stayed in the self catering accommodation and once again I cannot fault it. The lodges were spotlessly clean and the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. The staff were as ever very friendly and the golf course apart from the bunkers was in excellent condition. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our 12 Luxury Log Homes are located less than 150 yards from our fantastic club house and golf courses. Our log homes are the perfect base for your next golfing holiday; every stay includes free golf on our superb 27 holes of Championship Golf across our Woodland, Lakeland and Parkland courses. The Fairy tale Scandinavian-style houses at the Dorset Resort are very different types of buildings not often seen in the English Countryside. Made entirely from trees grown in the Nordic forests of Finland, these houses create a unique healthy living environment because the wood "breathes" whilst at the same time being a better insulator than brick. The homes combine simplicity with luxury, the natural oiled pine floors, walls and ceilings create a remarkably relaxed living space and all the furniture and fittings are of very high quality. People are able to rent periods from 2 days to 4 weeks in these wonderful homes, enabling them to spend quality time in this picturesque area of Dorset. All the houses are set in a quiet woodland glade surrounded by stunning fir trees and wonderful wildlife, birds, butterflies and animals abound in this forest setting. The Dorset Golf & Country Club hosts some of the most challenging golf in Dorset and is recognized as one of the golfing gems of the South of England. The Martin Hawtree designed; Woodland, Lakeland are Parkland courses are built to full USGA specification and are extremely well maintained, presenting excellent playing conditions for all levels of golfers. With the addition of our Woodland Cottage, 16 twin bedroom Golf Lodge Hotel, Fitness Center and 3 Rink Championship Indoor Bowls Facility we really do have it all. Dorset is a Perfect place for a Golf Break or Self Catering get away. So come and have your next golf or bowls holiday at our fantastic Resort Village, you will not be disappointed! ... more   less
