Lovely place with lovely people! Very cosy hotel situated in Evershot. Very confortable bed. Delicious biscuits in the room to compliment my tea. The hotel has as well a Pub, the only one in the village. I did enjoy a couple of local Ale! Please if you pass by stop for a short break. Thank you again to the management...

INNKEEPER’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

On arrival, we were greeted by very polite and welcoming staff who showed us to our room. Our room, which had been upgraded to a room with a four poster, was clean and comfortable. We had dinner here in the evening which was plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced. Our breakfast was equally good. We would stay again when visiting the...

The very best of our nearby country pubs - often visit for morning coffee, lunch and even Christmas Day. A beautiful historic building in a picturesque Dorset village setting. Really good food and drink - lunch hits fine dining standards. However what really stands out are the friendly staff and the generally convivial atmosphere.

At the turn of the year the excellent management team of Alex and Jack Mackenzie moved 100 yards to take over Summer Lodge, part of the Red Carnation Group of which the Acorn is a part. Natalie and Richard, formally deputy managers at the Acorm, have taken over. All I can say is that the change of management has been...

I'd like to compliment one of your employees, Natalie Read, General Manager at The Acorn Inn, for the outstanding service she provided my family and I on Sunday 5th March 2017. Such a commitment to great customer service needs to be both acknowledged and commended. Natalie was quite simply a shining star on what could have been a most stressful...

I was really looking forward to my first visit to the Acorn Inn sadly it didn't match my expectations - the food was acceptable however I felt over priced and the drinks were extortionate at over £11 for 3 pints of soft fizzy drinks one of which was poured from a 2litre lemonade bottle. I guess I was just expecting...

Dear Switcher87 Thank you for taking the time to write your review of the Acorn. We are saddened to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations. 3 pints of lemonade should not have been charged over £11, in which we must have made an error. We apologise for this mistake and we would have rectified this if it...

After staying at the Rubens in London over New Year it was a coincidence that we ended up at the Acorn which is in the same Red Carnation group. We came here on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal for £370 for a Friday and Saturday night (we have reviewed the dinners seperately). The Inn is in a lovely location...
