The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The restaurant served good food. But the accommodation is very very basic and really requires a good facelift. Although having said that the bed was very comfortable

Amazing country pub! The staff were great, very cheerful and chatty really made us feel welcome. Excellent beers on draught particularly the TEA from the local Hogs Back Brewery. Food was lovely and well presented, we enjoyed our evening here and won't hesitate to return. Well recommended!

I met a couple of friends here for dinner last Thursday. We were eating early, 7pm, and were the only ones in the restaurant area. The food was quite good, although not a huge choice for vegetarians. The restaurant was pretty cold despite the staff turning the heaters up!

Room was cosy/ small and very creaky- I felt sorry for the people staying in the room below, although perhaps to be expected for an old building. Lack of opening bedroom window made for a stuffy atmosphere. Disappointing that a place which promotes its daytime food and has a professional kitchen didn't provide a cooked breakfast (as might have been...

We stayed here for a night after golfing and expected the average pub food but christ, they could have a michelin star - honestly worth a look in! The room was about 60 quid and was in a quaint cottage opposite the main pub. If it was £100 a night I'd maybe be able to pick nits but it was...

Curtains were hanging off in places (only needed a couple of hooks on them) no...

We visited for lunch with Australian relatives and were very disappointed. Having been several times before, we thought it would be the ideal pub lunch for them. We ordered tempura prawns that came rubbery, not crispy at all. They were sent back and then arrived crispy but not really tempura batter, more cod batter from a fish and chip shop!...
