If you want a unique experience & a central place to stay while touring Northern Ireland, I'd highly recommend Laurel Villa. I was there in July & I'm so glad I chose this guesthouse instead of some characterless, cold hotel in Belfast. Both Eugene & Geraldine are friendly gracious hosts. Breakfast is a wonderful buffet of fresh fruits & yogurt...

I brought my wife to Laurel Villa as she writes her own poetry. We stayed in the Seamus Heaney room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back and staying in the Michael Longley room. Our hosts were welcoming and so friendly that I felt like one of the family. Fabulous place!

Quintessential Irish B & B in beautifully maintained house, leadlight windows and grand furnishings, comfortable beds, friendly helpful hosts, superb quality hot and cold breakfasts. The house contains many literary and other momentos giving it a special feel. Is a central base for exploring rural Londonderry.

The room was nicely decorated and very neat & clean. The next morning Geraldine served a wonderful traditional Irish breakfast. I really...

Superb hospitality from Eugene and Geraldine and great food, freshly prepared. As for the ambience; poetry, poetry everywhere! Not like anywhere you might have stayed before. Even if you live near Magherafelt, treat yourself to a night and savour this little gem which has outstanding class.
