I really like this hotel - summers day you can't beat the beer garden. fantastic location and What a selection of beer! But on this occasion i was really annoyed. But it has proper beer. Great. Could have murdered some food too.... But the young blonde lass behind the bar wouldn't serve us food as they were expecting a large...

Had an amazing lunch here yesterday - quick service and the food was delicious. Kids got to play at the park in the grounds. Amazing setting on the river. The rooms and bar/lounge here are also fantastic, and great value. On the whisky and castle trail and a great base for exploring the surrounding areas!

Walked here from Alford yesterday. Warm welcome and immediate attention by cheerful and friendly waitress. Beautiful river view from table (had it been warmer, we could have sat outside on the patio) Delicious meal served in no time - well presented, tasty home-cooking with extraordinary large portions! We were given the offer of having what we couldn't eat, boxed to...

Dropped in by for a coffee and cake. Inside was cold and not welcoming at all. Took ages to get served and not busy. It sounded like Loud Locals in the bar next to the lounge part who couldnt string a sentence without a swear word. Eventually got a cup of coffee and tea and a very dry tasteless scone....

The room was empty apart from one other couple, so we sat by the window ( which does have great views ) On seeing us there we were...

On our way to Kildrummy castle, we stopped here for lunch. We were seated in a sunny inside porch. My sister and I both had big salads….excellent. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. While eating, we were treated to a beautiful view of the gardens and bridge

Drove past and thought it looked a nice place to eat. Was shown to our table. Although we were in one room and everyone else in another. Sometimes it's nice to be amongst others and especially in a conservatory. Menu was limited 3 choices of starters. So no one had. Few basic choices for mains and 4 choices for pudding....

My husband and I stopped in for our evening meal on Saturday 29th August, we were there just after 5.00, when the meals start, the public bar was busy and there was only one member of bar staff trying to serve two bars a thankless task for the very pleasant young lady. We sat in the bar for our meal...
