As above, only superlatives describe Auld Cummerton, arriving at the beautiful village of Strathdon is the start and it gets better, then comes the driveway,it is framed in a mini forest of conifers, next is the front of the stone cottage, the frontal aspect is decieving,as it is not a cottage but a large building that has been refurbished from a falling down...

Carol was unbelievable as a hostess. The breakfasts were outstanding and the comfort level went beyond all of my expectations. I didn't want to leave because I was so happy and content. Bruce was great at booking me three different golf courses to play as well as loaning me his clubs and Carol provided very detailed directions to each one...

Luxurious haven in the wilds. Perfect ! Exceptionally well run and we were extremely well looked after as well as being made to feel very much at home. Breakfasts are a delicious delight with fantastic views of the Cairngorms National Park. We had our own sitting room, where afternoon tea was very graciously provided for us on arrival. Delicious home...

Auld Cummerton is a gem. The pictures don't do justice to it. For a start it is located in a beautiful part of Scotland and the rooms have lovely views. The b and b itself is a magnificently restored old building and it is decorated with exquisite taste and attention to detail, down to the silver teapots and finest bone...

A friend and I stayed at this delightful B&B for one night in July 2014. We found it without difficulty - I'd planned ahead and looked up the location on Google map at street level, so you can see the turning point off the main road with Spar shop and 'Lost Gallery' sign, then follow the camera along until you...

To find Auld Cummerton needed much longer than intended (due to unexpected road works). But in the end we found a marvellous house in lovely landscape, had a quiet night in a Four-Poster-bed and delicious breakfast next morning. Ursula & Wilfried, Stuttgart

Everything you read about this wonderful B & B is true! The house is beautiful with a wonderful location on a hillside thus offering many beautiful vistas. Carole is a charming and careful hostess and most welcoming. The rooms are large and the beds wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast was scrumptious with everything you could possibly want on offer, cooked to order....

After we called to find the correct location (my phone map directions guided us to Cummerton, not Auld Cummerton - just drive a little farther and the sign will be on the right) we were greeted warmly by Carol, who offered tea and coffee with homemade shortbread. Our accommodations were excellent! She left homemade truffles in our room. The view...

We highly recommend this B&B. It is a little hard to find, but worth the effort. Carol offers a genuinely warm welcome to her charming B&B, complete with pheasants in the front yard. The room is cosy (not small) with comfy beds and good pillows. Carol was very helpful in booking a restaurant for us and in helping us to...
