We would highly recommend this place!

I can’t say this is just a cabin because it is big enough to sleep 6! Kitchen and bathroom down with a futon couch in the living room and then two bedrooms up with a queen bed and two singles. Not disabled friendly as you need to go up stairs to get in. Everything is low so people with back or knee issues may find it difficult.

Cabin 1 and 4 are stand-alone, 2&3 are attached. Cabin 1 is by the firepit which is awesome.

Beautiful location, quiet, close to a creek. Not on the edge of the lake but you can see it.

Good wifi, well equipped kitchen, full linens and towels.

The owners are friendly and ready to help.

We would come again. Perfect weekend getaway.

We stayed in Iris Chalet for 7 days and had the pleasure of meeting Karin and Bruno as well as enjoying beautiful views of lake and mountain from the deck. The environment is lush and quiet. Karin gave us lots of information about the local area and was always available if needed.

Iris chalet is spacious and well-equipped. The main bedroom is also spacious and the bed comfortable. The kitchen is small but is perfectly adequate with a good size cooker and fridge. There is lots of space around the chalet also and a barbecue readily available in good weather.

Other travellers staying at Blue Sky Resort were very respectful of the natural environment and peaceful atmosphere.

Just a short trip to the lake; to Silverton and to New Denver means that we could access local events, galleries, museums and cafes very easily. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in New Denver. We also walked, cycled and swam.

Wi-fi connection is also very good which helps with holiday planning.

Blue Sky Resort is the perfect holiday if you are looking for beauty, comfort and a place to stay off the beaten track. The lodges were new, clean, cozy and comfortable! We had a wonderful time by renting all the cabins and had our first family reunion in years! We were there celebrating my newphew's wedding and even arranged to have the rehersal dinner in the meadow. Both Bruno and Karin were gracious host and hostess and they did not seem to mind all the commotion we brought with us! I would 100% recommend Blue Sky Resort and would be thrilled to go back any time!! Skip your standard hotels, folks! There is beauty all around Blue Sky Resort!!

We stayed 2 nights as we were in the area to attend a wedding. It was only about 2 or 3 km from town but is up from the highway so was peacefully quiet. The rooms were very clean and the kitchen well stocked and everything worked perfectly. The decor was simple but pleasant. The beds were firm but not too hard and we all slept extremely well. It was very hot out when we arrived but even the upstairs rooms were a good temperature for sleeping. Bathroom is on the main floor and bedrooms upstairs but they brought us extra bedding for the main floor futon for my elderly mom as she had difficulty with the stairs. Our hosts welcomed us warmly and were very helpful, even going out of their way to bring us a phone message and help us to wrap a last minute wedding gift. The view of the lake from our deck was spectacular. We only wished that we could have stayed longer to enjoy the bbq and the fire pit. I would stay there again only longer the next time.

Our bike club of about 15 people stayed one night on a Silver Triangle tour. The place is a little off the beaten path (dirt road up from the highway). Once there it is a wonderfully scenic spot. The 2 storey log cabins seem quite modern. They have nice porch/decks for socializing.

Check-In: The owner stowed our freezable food in her freezer overnight. Thanks!
Noise - nil
Bathroom - has shower only. All fairly new and worked well.

Amenities ...
Kitchen certainly adequate to cook supper and breakfast for a group.
Internet NA
Coffee maker (decaf?) Full kitchen
Fridge bar size
No TV
No phone
Breakfast - cooked for ourselves

The view of Slocan Lake from Red Mountain Road was spectacular. The fire pit overlooking the valley was a treat. There was lots of cut firewood with kindling to make starting a fire easy. The log cabins are extremely minimalist and austere, but they were also very clean.

The living room was furnished with a futon sofa and coffee table. We were a family of four and would have appreciated another chair so we could all hang out comfortably in the living room.
If the weather was hot, the cabins would be ideal for temperature. Thick wood logs are great insulation against the heat. In early September, however, we found the cabin cold and the electric heat just did not take the chill out of the main floor. The beds are thin futons on hard frames. A thin polyester (not feather) douvet covered each bed. There was an extra comforter in the main room, but the twin beds did not have extra blankets. Our daughters were cold at night. A wood fireplace would have greatly enhanced the warmth in the cabin physically and emotionally. The kitchen and cooking equipment were adequate. The resort is a must for the view, but one or two nights is enough.

That was the question we were asking the Blue Sky resort on August 2 2012. We were in a pinch for a room on August 3rd because the Silverton resort had double booked us and hung us out to dry.

The answer? "YES! but only for one night" (the silverton resort later claimed that they pulled the strings to get this last minute reservation, but we had called long before they did)

The resident manager there was more than helpful and accommodating. SHe even got us a reservation at one of the local restaurants on short notice.

The cabin itself was clean and had a beautiful view. It was an adjoining cabin with another unit.

The downside is that the inside walls were paper thin and we could here the party in the other cabin going all night (and they weren't partying... just playing cards). The beds were fairly hard too, not good if you can't handle hard beds, Excellent if you want to sleep on a plank!

You have to find this place! Off the beaten path, it is a great get away. Just outside Silverton in the B.C. interior, set on the side of a mountain, the views are spectacular, the lake and the mountains. The accommodations are great, simple but complete. Kitchen and BBQ were excellent, bathroom was a little small. We had a fire 2 of the 3 nights under the stars with a great lake view. If you want to get away and don’t mind cooking for yourself, check this place out.

We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights in the Daisy cabin. We were greeted by the owners who gave us a brief orientation of the cabin and area. The Daisy cabin is 2 floors. The first floor has living room/dining room with a galley style kitchen. All the appliances worked and looked new. The cabin was extremely clean. The second floor had 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom had a queen bed and plenty of space in the room. The second bedroom had 2 double beds perfect for kids. The cabin has a large front porch where you can take in the beautiful views of the mountains and Slocan Lake. Karin the owner is wonderful. She came over on our first morning and recommended things to do in the area.
A couple notes regarding the area. Silverton is the closest town-5 mins away and New Denver is 10 mins away. Both basically shut down at 6pm.
Great beaches and hiking in the area.
I highly recommend the area. No better place to stay than Blue Sky Resort.
