Well equipped and clean cottage. Shallow and sandy lake. Covid protocols include sanitization and contactless arrival and departures. Cottages spaced out for privacy. Canoe, paddles and life jackets delivered to cottage for private usage.

We had the Trillium Cottage #16. Great size, excellent layout with everything we needed. Nice Deck with a BBQ, great fire pit for evening fires. We used the canoes for fishing at no extra charge. Slowly paddling along the shore, we caught some monster Smallmouth Bass, and some panfry size everyday. It was an excellent location for us, 5 minutes to Barry's Bay and surrounded by many other wonderful lakes. The highlight was the daily visits from the Rooster and Hens roaming the property. Highly recommend it for the family or just a group of guys looking to do some good fishing.

Our stay was very comfortable. The cottage was clean and well sanitized. We were on an ATV trip for a week and the trail entrance is very close. Luiza and Fred were always available to answer any questions or assist us. It is apparent that work was being done to update the cottages.
It was no contact check in and check out.
Amenities are close by.
Beautiful area. The Autumn is beautiful in this area. Will definitely be back. They do have a beach area that appeared to be busy with families with children. Our cottage was private from this area and we were never bothered with noise from the area.

Was a terrible stay for a number of reasons. There was nothing that I would recommend about this place aside from the view. That's it, just the view. It was like staying in my grandmothers cottage from the 1960's. Everything was hand me down and quite frankly well past the best before date. There wasn't a complete set of curtains on the living room window (short one panel) and no curtain or blinds on the kitchen or washroom windows. There were spent moisture sponges all over which gave the impression when I walked in that this is going to be a tough week on my respiratory system. Sure enough it was. I left with a sinus infection that sent me to the emergency room. The mat for the front door was covered in dog hair and hadn't been cleaned in some time. The utensils, dishes, etc. all could use replacing. We had to clean a few things before we could use them which wouldn't be so bad except that it was pointed out multiple times in the intro document left for guests that there would be a $150.00 charge for any extra cleaning. Nothing was cleaned, including the floors. They were sticky. Had to drive into town to get batteries because there weren't any in the converter and none were left. While there picked up dish cloths, kleenex, soap, etc. that were also not provided. Lots of ice (ice storm while we were there) and no salt or sand supply. Had a couple of close calls and it's a VERY steep hill covered in rock. It might be a good idea to supply a bin of dirt or salt for the walkways and driveways.

Thank you for bringing these items to our attention. This certainly isn't to our standards and we do apologize about the condition you found the cottage. Our onsite property manager could have helped you here if notified, especially when dealing with missing items and the walkways. That weather is always a challenge this time of year as the weather turns creating ice. We do try to stay on top of that. We pride ourselves on providing clean, well supplied cottages so to hear your experience does sadden us.

Came to celebrate our anniversary. Our fourth visit here. The cottage was clean and ready for us when we arrived. As usual there is a no contact check in, your keys are ready for you in your cottage on arrival.
We found everything we needed, including extra towels in the bedroom for the hot tub.
The hot tub was warm, the view of the lake is so peaceful that we got up early each morning to enjoy it as the world woke up around us. Our second morning it snowed lightly as we enjoyed the hot tub, it was a picture perfect moment.
We were lucky enough to meet the new owner as we got stuck in the snow that had fallen overnight. Our rental did not have tires for the snow we learned.
She went above and beyond to help us out, even going so far as to help my husband push the car, help him shovel out a path, and finally having the brilliant notion of using some fallen branches beneath the tires for them to catch on. It was then that our neighbour in cottage six came out and lent a helping hand as well.
The new owner was beyond apologetic about the snow and us being stuck, but we explained that you can’t determine what the weather will do when. Mother Nature is funny that way.
All in all, another wonderful stay, a great introduction to the new owner, and we can’t wait to return.
If you’re looking for a cozy, easily social distanced place to visit then look no further. It has everything you could possibly want in a cozy little winter getaway.

Thank you so much for your wonderful and kind review, Tammie! You were such a delight to host and we are so glad we were able to help you get on the road. Love that you had the opportunity to enjoy the hot tub as it snowed! We can't wait to host you again!

We have just returned from our week cottage vacation at Berry’s Bay cottage, the owner are super friendly, kind and helpful. Contactless check in made everything safe and easy. As we walked in, cottage are in good shape and clean. There were extra towels provided and placed in a basket. Nothing beats the view so strongly recommend to book the waterfront cottage. Our kids dived right into the lake, we were extremely lucky to have hot weather where our kids can hit the lake all week. Lots of canoes and paddleboards are available for you to choose (that’s included in your stay) on the side note, because we hit the heatwave, and there were no AC, we were able to connect with the owner to provide us with more fans. In no time, fans showed up at our door. Fishing was a big hit during our vacation. The hubbies enjoyed much, bass, perch and pikes and they were big. Average size of the bass are 3-5lbs. We all had a relax and great time. Definitely recommend this place.

We booked in advance for the may long weekend. Unfortunately when the Covid restrictions didnt relax in time for our get away we had to re book. No hassle from the owners, they made rebooking a breeze. Contactless check in, however the owner made sure to pop over in the evening to make sure everything was to our liking.
We wanted kayaks for our stay, and they were at the rental upon arrival. We stayed in the Dragonfly cabin. Beautiful location. It was the perfect size for a family of 3. Clean. Bright. Beds were super comfortable.
Full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, pots/pan, dishes, cutlery.
Satellite TV was great. We were not able to connect to the wifi, but no nig deal. We weren't on our devices anyway.
Awesome firepit with muskoka chairs and wood provided. Tree lined lot for privacy. Private dock.
My only complaint is that we didnt stay longer!! We will DEFINITELY be returning.

Excellent location and service! The owners, Luiza and Fred, go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. Free use of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards, a beautiful new common deck by the water with relaxing chairs and a sun umbrella, a playground for the little ones, a basketball hoop and volleyball/badminton net for all to play, not to mention the giant chess board and outdoor dart board. All games are free to play and sporting accessories are kept in the toy shed. Coming soon is the new Moose Lounge!! We look forward to checking it out next summer when we return!!!
Each cottage has a fire pit in the backyard with Adirondack style chairs and a picnic table and bbq. We have had so much fun each summer. Thank you Fred & Luiza!!!

We are now on our fourth year in a row coming here and don't intend to stop coming. The owners are simply lovely people who care very much about their guests. The views and landscapes are amazing. The cottages afford the luxury of lakeside campfires, and beautiful scenery from your hottub. It's only 5 mins from Barry's Bay for your shopping needs and cute boutique shops.

This was our second year at Barry's Bay Cottages and, very much like last year, we enjoyed our stay. The cottage we rented (#4) is comfortable; it has all the amenities we need; it has a dock into the beach area for easy access to the water. The site also has a good selection of canoes, kayaks and boards. All in all, it is a great place to relax, which we certainly did.

Just a case on a email address typo when booking online, causing confirmations to bounce back. We were able to sort it out :). Thanks again for your business and we look forward to seeing you soon!
