We have done this trip before and like to for an easy January break. We take a direct flight from Baltimore (AirTran) to San Juan, pick up a rental car and drive to Fajardo. I very highly recommend the Ceiba Country Inn. The location is perfect – just remote enough on the back side of El Yunque, to be away...

Michael was such a wonderful host and very helpful when we needed directions and advice on the surrounding area. Very nice breakfast and Michael takes great pride in his home baked sweet breads, banana etc. We highly recommend the inn and if you have an interest in seeing the bio lagoon in Fajardo we recommed going with Bio Islands electric...

What a wonderful little treasure the Ceiba Country Inn is; what a delight in today's world. Situated on the top of a mountain overlooking the sea, this small, clean, unpretentious B&B is true perfection. The sound of the tree frogs at night is priceless and what you come to Puerto Rico for. Turn off your air conditioner and just listen....

A very clean and comfortable place to stay removed from the hustle and bustle of a city. Easy to find, well run, and friendly proprietor. Simple yet refreshing breakfast of fresh fruits, homemade breads, and coffee. Would recommend this place to anybody who wants a chance to get away and enjoy some peace in the hills of PR.

The sounds out your window are so wonderful. Yes we had our windows open. You wake up to a mountain top view that amazes. The fresh breads for breakfast are yum. So are the fruits. Best of all is the owners dog who may tap on your door.

The grounds are beautiful and the breakfast was fine. Be aware that there's little to do in the area and few places to eat. It was fairly convenient to the marina which I went Scuba diving from, and about 1/2 hour from the rainforest. The rooms don't keep sound out though, so you not only hear the frogs(which I was...

it's limited. It's hard to find but If you pass the Jungle Bar you're on the right road. TV in the lounge only (I hope you like CNN), WiFi is secured after 2100. We had a good bed (Room #1) and things were very neat and clean but I soon found that the shower ran cold. We were there two...

This place is a gem. It is very private, up a long, steep drive. There is a wonderful patio where you can enjoy an excellent breakfast (included) of whatever is seasonal, fresh from the property, or the fancy of the proprietor that day. It is all excellent. The view through the mountain across the valley to the ocean and Culebra...

Two families stayed here together, each in a separate room. We really enjoyed the forest setting, the frog songs all night, and the lovely breakfast with fresh bread and fruit every morning. We appreciated Michael's advice -- he sent us to some really good restaurants! The setting is amazing, but it's pretty hard to find -- get a good map...
