My wife and I really enjoyed Hotelier. Located right on the beach. Nice chairs and umbrellas. They clean the rocks out from in front of the hotel so it is the best place to swim along that part of the beach. It was quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Not easy to find near Mancora which is a party town. The restaurant was...

We spent a week here after the heights of Cuenca Equador and before the greater heights of Cuzco. We wanted a peaceful and restful place on a beach and Hotelier was almost the perfect spot. We had one of the top two rooms which were great. The staff, particularly Ceasar, could not be more helpful and the food for dinner...

I stumbled upon this hotel after my first night staying in another place close by. I walked along the shore and looking around for prices and checking rooms, I decided to stay in this one. I Picked the right one! hotelier feels more like a private house with lots of rooms than a hotel. the price was very good compared...

Me and my family spend three days at Hotelier in Mancora. It is the best hotel where I've spend my holiday so far, especially when you have children. Hotelier is a family owned business, which created the fantastic atmosphere at the hotel and it too makes the hotel very family friendly. You easily feel at home and welcomed at Hotelier.

My cousin and I stayed here in March 2011. The owner was very nice and the hotel was undergoing enhancements (I think it was recently purchased or built). We had a standard room which was basic and fair, and not overly large. The owner was nice enough to prepare a local Peruvian dish for me (that I had inquired about...

This is the moment of your trip when you get to chill and enjoy the beach culture of Peru. Javier adopted the Mancoria culture all in and rightfully left the big city of Lima for the creation of this artistic, culinary retreat. He has found a gem in Cesar, who with his postcard perfect brown eyes, takes care of any...

Still a very likeable hotel, but a few things made it not as good as before. Firstly, the rooms are beginning to need a makeover. I still like them, but in a year or so, they're going to really need some attention. And more importantly, don't get a massage from the women on the beach recommended by the hotel -...

Going to the northern coast of Peru was not on our agenda but we were burnt out from 10 days traveling on the Gringo trail and wanted some R&R. Hotelier was the perfect place to eat great food, drink well-made cocktails, fish, swim, and meet interesting people. Wish we could have stayed longer and we were there for 5 nights....

I don't think I saw another guest whilst I stayed here. I did stay in low season so that may explain it but if that would bother you I would ask before booking. The owners brother was on hand to welcome me and negotiate on the package. The rooms were very good. This hotel sells itself on food and I...

After researching prices at a bunch of hotels in Mancora and Pocitas, we selected Hotelier in part because it offered the best price for their "room and food" package, including lunch and dinner along with the double-occupancy room (confirmed in writing via email). We paid 50% in advance, with the remaining due in cash upon arrival. When we arrived, they...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A boutique hotel with a difference, Hotellier sits like a landmark on the gorgeous las Politas beach, just two minutes form Mancora. The location was hand selected by Javier, an artist who has lived on this stretch of beach for over 30 years, and features a backdrop of sandstone cliffs and an excellent ocean view of the calm beach protected from the wind. Javier and his team are passionate about ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of their customers, who rave about the friendly, attentive service at Hotelier and the attention to detail in every element of the artistic hotel. All eight suites feature ocean view balconies, split air-conditioners, King-Size beds, pima linens, feather pillows, blackout curtains, hot and cold water, cable TV/DVD and art by Javier himself. The hotel also houses Donde Teresa – a gourmet destination, praised in food magazines – named for Teresa Ocampo. Teresa, frequently called the Julia Child of Peru, is a culinary pioneer who has sold over 300,000 cookbooks and whose legacy is carried on at Donde Teresa. Inspired by tradition, but always contemporary, the meals at Donde Teresa are always a highlight of guests at Hotelier. As a diver, Javier brings the best of the ocean to the table and you can be sure to enjoy the freshest seafood at Donde Teresa. Mancora, and Las Pocitas in particular, is blessed with year round sunny weather, from 70-90F, low humidity and a great sea breeze. Las pocitas is a relaxing beach, great for walks, swimming, snorkeling, horseriding or just lazing around and listening to the waves. ... more   less
