We loved staying at Rippenvale, the accomodation is fabulous, the breakfasts are amazing! All the little extras like fresh baking & a cup of tea waiting when we returned from the hot pools made our stay special. Helen & John are the ultimate hosts, friendly & helpful, never intrusive. Helen is obviously a wizz in the kitchen, her home made... More

A wonderful gift that just couldn't be bettered in any way. The setting was fabulous and our own little slice of heaven really felt like our own. Helen and John treated us as very special guests and by the time we left we felt like 'family' and didn't want to say goodbye! The food was absolutely delicious, and the homemade... More

We have been touring New Zealand for the past four years having chosen to escape the `uk winters! During that time we have stayed at around 20 boutique B & B homes including this wonderful residence on three occasions. Most recently we spent 5 nights there and as always the hospitality afforded to us by Helen & John was superb.... More

Thanks to Helen, John and Lily the cat for a great weekend away. They are awesome hosts, breakfasts were amazing, 6 o'clock canapés & wine a treat, and the high tea just decadent. We couldn't have been made more welcome.

We've just returned from our honeymoon, having concluded it by staying at Helen and John's lovely accommodation which included spectacular breakfasts, and free access to their garden, bikes and spa. It was the perfect way to relax after our wedding and we are very grateful for all the extra touches that made our stay so memorable.

Grab your mouse and click the little 'x' on every tab you have open with other accommodation options in Hanmer Springs. This is hands down the best stay you can have in the town if not NZ as a whole. Helen and John are unbelievably fantastic hosts - the level of care and detail in each room is almost unreal... More
