We had a very relaxing couple of days here at Rippinvale Retreat. The hosts, Helen and John, spoiled us with excellent and substantial home baked breakfasts, evening canapes with wine, and chocolate on the pillows. We enjoyed the hot tub and walking around the extensive and beautifully planted grounds. Our hosts' knowledge of the area enhanced our enjoyment of the...

Exquisite and decadent this beautiful retreat proved to be the perfect anniversary break for us. From the warm and hospitable welcome from Helen and John, to the simply delicious homemade culinary delights for breakfast, this reached far and beyond our initial expectations. Not to mention the spa bath beneath the stars, and a much needed Swedish massage - we'll be...

Friendly hosts, delicious breakfasts (not your standard continental!), great wine, affectionate cat, secluded location but only a short drive to town. All the extras you'd expect (bathroom products/tea/coffee etc) are a real step up from a standard motel/hotel :-) Helen and John clearly take pride in looking after their guests and it shows.

Sublime, heavenly, luxurious! From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were treated to the most wonderful hosting from Helen and John. We were truly spoilt and treated like royalty. Highlights include.... The most delicious canapés and wine, served on a silver platter and of course.... Jacuzzi under the starlight! Can't wait to come back! Love Jenny &...

From the very first moment of arriving at Rippindale, our hosts Helen and John made us feel welcome and pampered at their beautiful property. One of the things I'm finding out about boutique Kiwi B&B's is the efforts the owners go to in creating a wee bit of paradise in their homes and gardens - Ripponvale certainly delivers here. Guests...
