Great location, modern, clean , everything is spot on and attention to detail is key. The view from the rooms is amazing , the bedding is top quality (I still remember how relaxed I was during my stay). The breakfast is home made by the amazing owner Nick. When you meet Nick you realize where the style of the hotel comes from. Thank you for the experience. We will come back soon

Situated in the beautiful village of Agios Nikolaos, near to Karpenissi is this hidden gem of a hotel and bar. The rooms are most comfortable with a very high spec. An added bonus is the fire place in the rooms too. The hotel bar and common area is stunning and makes all feel most comfortable and almost at home !! Nikos the owner and manage is an absolute gentleman and was there for what ever I required. Beds most comfortable and breakfasts the best in the area by far. I cannot recommend this place higher enough.

Feel like home at this marvelous boutique hotel located at a cornerstone location for local excursions. Landlord is the abstract of hospitality and professionalism. A la carte homemade breakfast with local raw materials and excellent cooking. Well designed and ample space rooms with nice view to the forest. The place to come again and again!

This is the hotel we will always be visiting on special occasions from now on. The breakfast is the best I've ever had outside my home, the rooms are super-cosy and as expected, the people are amazing, the place enormously romantic and quiet. We are already planning a 5-days escape before Christmas - don't go for less than that, you will not want to leave, trust me. :)

Spaceous room with nice view, nice decoration and confortable beds. A small kitchen was also included, which for families with young children is a must. Breakfast is excellent. The whole atmosphere is very friendly. Congradulations to the owner!

Kastanea hotel is a beautiful place to stay. Everybody was so welcoming, the atmosphere in the lounge room made me feel as though I was in my own living room. Niko was always there to give us helpful suggestions on places to visit and eat. We had a beautiful stay. We highly recommend it. Dionysis.

The perfect combination of cool and warm in the mountains of Evritania. Nikos, the owner, will make sure that your stay will be unforgettable, giving you tips about the area and making you feel at home in his cute boutique hotel that has extremely high quality standards and awesome design, in the picturesque village of Agios Nikolaos. Don't miss the breakfast, made with love and fresh local products.

What a one-in-a-million place... We felt like coming home although we had never visited before. The owner Nikos made it his personal concern to make sure we enjoy every aspect of our trip: from the obvious (VERY comfy beds, great views, beautiful spaces designed with great attention to detail) to the unexpected (offerings of tasty treats and drinks, interesting conversations, the most abundant and nicely served breakfast, meticulous cleanliness, musical discoveries) all our expectations were exceeded. The serenity and beauty of the surroundings made the experience complete. We will definitely be back.

It is not so common to be in a hotel and sit in the lobby feeling so relaxed like you 're in your own living room. The connection also with the rest customers was amazing. We stayed at Kastanea for 4 days just before Christmas. Nikos the owner (and also the rest personel) makes you feel very comfortable and helps you a lot proposing plans as he knows well the secrets of the area. Room had 2 separate areas with contemporary minimal design. Very clean very warm and very comfortable. Lobby was even better than the pictures in the web. It has a modern design with a bar in one corner and fireplace to the opposite side. Very warm with Wifi available.. Parking space helped a lot as it is in the basement of the hotel with an internal stairway to the lobby. If weather is bad (as it was for us for a couple of days), it was very convenient to use it especially when you have small kids and a baby carriage. Some minor remarks: - No internet was available in the room as wifi could not reach that far. - Agios Nikolaos has almost nothing to do but you have many other places in the area to visit.

Boutique hotel with minimal design and arty decoration. - The suite was spacious (having even a second double bed on a second level) and everything was brand new, shinny clean and unpretentiously luxurious. - The standard tailor-made breakfast was rich enough on its own, and was further improved by several a la carte delicacies at an extra charge. - Service and personal interest by Nikos the owner and staff was excellent! - The location is in a village with practically nothing to do, but it's only a 5' drive (6km) from Karpenisi so this was never an issue. Definitely worth staying here, and worth returning again and again.
