Wow what a great place ! Wish we could come back and stay longer than 1 day. The views are stunning. The safari tents are very spacious and what a big terrace ! Also the food in the restaurant is excellent.

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived at Mihingo Lodge. We were ushered into the main lodge as our bags were taken to our "cottage". We were offered juice and later lunch with our guide overlooking the pool in the shadows of Lake Mburo national park. The waterhole down the park, is another way to view wildlife as they come...

At Mihingo you can sit on the large boulders outside your canvas chalet watching the dawn splash golden light onto the surrounding bush and then high up in the viewing tower overlooking the waterhole as the sun goes down. Wherever you are at the lodge, you feel immersed in nature, the tree canopy shades wooden decks, and the natural pool...

Back from Gorilla tracking: we stopped for 2 nights in Mburo lake park: the park is beautiful and Mihingo lodge is marvelous. Nice rooms in the middle of the wooden savana, good food. The lodge is on a hill with a spectacular view.

We visited Mihingo last year on our Honeymoon and had the most fantastic time. Between Iddy and Izzy (the managers) our every request was answered and our 4 days was the perfect mix of absolute relaxation and adventure. We stayed at Leopard Rock - the view was incredible, and we just had to have our binoculars to hand every moment...

We stayed in the Leopard Room which faces East and has amazing views towards Lake Kacheera. Listening to the multitude of bird calls from the canopy below our veranda while sipping a freshly brewed Ugandan coffee and watching the world awake was a treat for all the senses. Being on the top of the kopje we also had lovely cool...

Such an incredible, tucked away sport that everybody should go and discover! The beautiful scenery is a given in the national park, and despite having a wonderful room it was the staff and the food that really stood out for me! After some long travels through East Africa, heading to Mihingo Lodge for some R&R, Safari and a little bit...

We visited Mihingo a couple of years ago and it was perfect in every way, down to the last small detail. Architecturally pleasing with great views, I highly recommend a visit - elegantly furnished, excellent food and great hosting.

The lodge has been imaginatively built on a rocky outcrop overlooking Lake Mburo national park. Reading the book about how it was created made us appreciate it even more! We were very impressed that it was totally solar powered, and by the rainwater collection system. We were in Kings room, which had a shower built around the natural rocks, which...

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciated Mihingo and the effort that we made to make it as environmentally friendly as possible. We are very sorry that our manager upset you when you entered the shop while she was not there. She feels awful that she made you feel uncomfortable, and was...

I visited in Oct. 2012. Mihingo was one of the top two lodges I stayed at in Uganda. Its setting is beautiful, perched on a boulder-strewn hill overlooking Lake Mburo National Park, with a popular wildlife watering hole visible from the restaurant and swimming pool. My cabin, a few minutes' walk over the rock outcropping from the lodge, looked east...
