The first thing I noticed was that all attending employees were drinking beer in the morning. Not a great start, I guess. We got a 'fan' room (that somehow included an air-con unit) for 380 baht a night for four nights. Seemed a bit steep until I read other reviews; I am used to pay about 200 to 300 baht...

As an owner/ operator of a similar chalet type accommodation business in Australia, I have to pass on this feedback: So the power was apparently cut "on the whole island", (said staff), due to storms. Le Blanc's generator was not working so on my 1 and only night in Ko Samet, I sat in my room from roughly 7pm to...

I've been to the beautiful island of Koh Samet 3 times now, twice on New Years Eve so are fully aware of inflated new year prices (2500bt +2700bt for 30th and 31st December). Three of us (2 separate rooms) went to Le Blanc Samet resort on a recommendation and it turned into a nightmare. On arrival the staff were so...

In all my travels across the world, staying at various residences, this has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Two friends and I travelled to Koh Samet on December 30th and this hotel was recommended to us by some fellow passengers on the boat. However, upon arrival we were told...

The door is damaged and has to be locked with a external lock. Curtains are rusty rotten. Bed lights dangerous. Open cables from a not working background light. Nearly have been hit from the sink coz it was...

Went here on a "busy weekend", we had booked 2 weeks ahead of time for an increased price as it was a public holiday weekend. When we arrived, we walked through pitch black darkness (no lights) on a rocky and uneven path toward our bungalow. The electricity was out in our room and some others. We understood that this was...

Pro's: Friendly staff. Good location. Clean fridge. Price was ok. Con's: Bungalowpark was a mess. Green water from the tab. Dirty towels. Smelly bathroom. Cockroaches. Toilet problems. No 24hr reception. Extremely loud water pumps when it rained.

Got the hard sell at the pier paid 1500 for 1 night stay. Room was dirty bed linen stained and full of holes, bathroom disgusting. The fridge still had open milk in it from previous guests and patio doors do not seal properly so expect to share room with thousands of mosquitoes. They ask for a 1000 bht deposit for key,...

Old resort, also operating under name Lam Yai. Dirty bungalows, no maintenance, rubbish all over the place, overpriced and cheating on everything: breafast not included because it was confirmed by the wrong person, charging for chair on the beach, you have to buy toilet paper, owner does not give any attention to complaints, and more unpleasant sudprises. To be avoided....
