Firstly, if you are travelling from Bangkok to Le Vimarn (Ao Prao Beach), please note that it takes 3-4hrs to get to the pier, by taxi or bus. From the pier, the last "complimentary" ferry to the hotel leaves at 4pm, not 5pm as we were told on the internet. If you miss the ferry you will be ripped off...

Overall I am pleased to stay here...with all the facilities and of course the main purpose which is to swim and relax on the beach. Compare to Hua Hin, koh samet sand and sea is far above average with its white sands and clear blue water. The hotel got "the" location which I give them full score for that. The...

This was my second stay at Le Vimarn and I must say it was a good choice again. The beach is splendid and the staff is quite helpful. Being on this resort allows you to really relax and enjoy the lovely beach and surroundings. And only 15 mins away by ca to the main action packed beach. The food is...

very nice and comfortable bungalows (ask for for one of the new ones). very location (best beach in Samed island) and quiet. Service needs a big improvement as the staff is most of the time disappeared on the beach area. Overall, is a great place for a 2 day getaway from bangkok, but if you have more time I would...

Trip Advisor reviewers tend to list what went wrong, rather than what went right (see many past reviews of this place). I can happily say that we had not a single issue here during 5 days at Le Vimarn that is worth mentioning to other holiday makers. Ultimately, this place is well worth the room rate and we had a...

My husband and I are from the USA, but currently live just outside of Pattaya. My mother is here visiting and, at the last minute, we decided to book a trip to Koh Samet. I searched the internet and found Le Vimarn Cottages and Spa. We booked the family villa (as we have a 1 year-old) and loved everything about...

This was my third visit to the resort and my 5th to the island, my second visit saw a familiar pattern of deterioration of the environment with cheap dwellings and "services" springing up between the two main resorts owned by the same company. A proliferation of plastic pipes going straight into the sea, suspicious looking brown bits and a bay...

Le Vimarn didn't really live up to its claim of being a "unique tropical Boutique Resort for an idyllic stay that will call you back again and again". Although our room was very nice, with a lovely big bathroom and very comfortable beds, the gardens were nicely-tended and the beach was beautiful with crystal clear water (the staff made some...

We booked into the Vimarn Cottages and Spa for 1 night planning to travel to the other side of the island for our remaining 3 nights. However, the accommodation was so delightful and the staff so helpful that we decided to stay put! It was one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed. The cottage we stayed in...
