This was by far the worst quality I have experienced for my money. We had a short stay in this place. But we were looking for a nice and cozy shower after a day of kayaking. Too bad the shower was with a push button, this meant pushing a button every 15 seconds for a little bit of water. The reception was not occupied at any time, and we had to search for staff every time we had a question. And on top of everything, the WiFi was working but there was no internet connection.

I found this hotel in desperation when late booking for Belgian Grand Prix. We found it good value at nearly half the price of hotels only 10-20 kms closer to the Spa circuit. The upstairs rooms have sloping ceilings which were awkward for my 6'4" son. The proprietor was helpful and friendly. Clean and comfortable. I would give it 3.5 stars on the basis of value. Breakfasts were limited but adequate. We recommend the Italian restaurant in the village, furthest from the river or drive to the next little town to the south for a good restaurant choice around the old square.

We shared a room so sadly someone had a sofa bed but room was fine and there was plenty of room. Swimming pool too if the weather ever gets better. Lady spoke no English but words like 'clef' and 'porte' worked ok and we got our room without any fuss. Decent place and despite language difference you could tell they were decent people.

Clean modern hotel, with storage for bicycle travellers. Restaurant only open at weekends off-season, but places to eat in Hotton, and helpful proprietor will offer a lift to another restaurant he owns not far away.

We paid a fantastic low price for this hotel last summer (2006) and weren't expecting much because of that. However, we arrived in 30 degrees heat to find a very comfortable room with excellent air conditioning, and then a lovely private swiming pool in the garden, by which we sat for the rest of the afternoon. After a good and comfortable night's sleep, the breakfast was very adequate indeed (and included in the price). OK, it wasn't the most romantic location in this wonderful part of Belgium, but for an overnight stay while touring the area, I cannot fault it one bit.
