Having stayed at this lovely hotel before in the beautiful little village of Lourmarin it is definitely worth a visit. The hotel is perfectly situated close to the shops and restaurants. Great service and pleasant staff. Excellent Christmas Eve dinner and a good breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend.

What a showcase entrance greets you, with its ancient arched stone pillars in the lobby. This location is perfectly sited at the entrance to the village. Contemporary, chic bearing complements the ancient artefacts with the whole place lit up with natural light. Loved the outdoor patio and garden perfect for a quiet canoodling during our romantic dinner on a warm...

The staff was very attentive, polite, and very responsive, from the cleaning gals to the front desk to the restaurant. The building is an old olive mill so the layout is a little quirky but works nicely. The A/C works reasonably well even during very hot days. Rooms on the village street side can be loud with people going by...

We were only in Lourmarin for one night due to some itinerary changes. Booked the suite which was spacious and as described has a terrace. It says the room "faces the castle and grassy area" however due to trees etc. there is virtually no view of anything. The room was nice and well equipped and quiet at night. You cannot beat...

Lourmarin is a very charming village - one of our favorites in Provence. And the Moulin de Lourmarin was our favorite hotel during our trip to South of France. Its building is an old oil mill. We were really impressed with the beautiful architecture. Some details such as the millstone are preserved in the restaurant. Very well done! Although we...

I am surprised by the positive reviews provided by recent guests. Our experience was not so positive. This was our first visit to Provence and as always it is difficult to know whether to stay in a village or in the countryside and which village to be in or near. We chose Lourmarin and although it is south of the...

We stayed for a week and found the entire experience to be a great reflection of what life is all about when holidaying in provincial France. The staff in particular were very friendly and helpful, especially Olivia and Sandrina who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The hotel is comfortable without being fancy but it would...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of Lourmarin, one of the loveliest villages in France, an old 18th century oil mill has been converted into a charming hotel full of character. The 19 rooms are decorated in minimalist Provencal style with precious materials: raw wood, wrought iron and hand-crafted earthenware. Beside the fire, in the guests' lounge, on the terraces or patio, in spring, summer or any other season, the Moulin de Lourmarin is the ideal place to enjoy the tranquility of time that passes so serenely in Provence. The vaulted dining room with its rustic flagstones calls to mind the authentic, agricultural past of the Luberon. ... more   less
