Receptionist on the phone when we arrived and we felt we wet interrupting her. No tea or coffee in the rooms. Had to re interrupt to ask for hot water for baby food and again for the wifi password. Room walls and floors very flimsy and can hear people walking around. We had a twin aspect room overlooking the road... More

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Cologne (Koln). The hotel itself was fine but the location and services nearby are not good. The train station is not within walking distance so you have to drive and park and then it takes two trains to get downtown. The area where the hotel is located has only two restaurants that... I was attending MEDICA fair and looked for hotel very last minute. I found this one via one of popular hotel search engines. I was greatly supprised. For reasonable price (during fair all hotels usually rise their prices above reasonable level), the hotel was really great. Very friendly and helpful staff. The lady at the desk pointed us to good... Courteous staff and near to Köln. Good parking facilities. Rooms adequate, clean and comfortable, so perfect for an en route overnight stay. Reasonable breakfast is included in the price (75euros for 2 people for 1 night), also internet available.

As we did not want to stay inside the city, this option was very reasonable..... No it is not an example of the upscale hotels we are accustomed to, but it was clean and neat. The service was excellent and the breakfast very nice. The facility is is spacious and a lot of work has gone into keeping it up... More

If I'd have to pay 100+ EUR/night for staying at 'Freischutz' hotel, I'd definitely think twice (if not several times) before. But for a ~50 - 60, that's a no-brainer. Clean (carpets might fancy a renewal or at least a thorough swipe, though), friendly, WiFi, free parking (with enough parking lots not to worry you'll have to search for another... More

We stayed at the hotel Freischütz for one night over the weekend. The price was 150 Euro (probably because there was a fair in Köln during that weekend). What we got for this money was not too much the rooms are very simple (no big mirrorw, no water cooker, no safe etc) However the personel is very nice and helps... More
