We were part of a group from Rail Discoveries doing train trips in the Rhine Valley and you couldn't ask for a nearer hotel to Remagen station than the Pinger - it is right across the road. The reception are is quite small and narrow so we had to spread out while we got our keys but that was no... More

The welcome we received at this family run hotel was first class, The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The meals we received were well presented and plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Using the train to travel the position of this hotel could not have have beaten. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed at this hotel as part of our holiday with 'Rail Discovery' The hotel itself is opposite the railway station (Remargan) and therefore gives easy access to most of the Rhine Valley. The room we had, 401, was just perfect. The food, buffet style, was excellent with lots of choice and freshly cooked. We would certainly recommend this hotel... More

I stayed here with a group from the UK, a railway based holiday. This being my second visit this year. The hotel is directly opposite the station and is so well placed to catch local trains to and from Cologne, Rudesheim. Koblenz etc. Remagen is a splendid little town steeped in history. Visit the Ludendorf bridge (WW11) A delightful town for... More

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is spotlessly clean and all the staff are friendly and helpful and beds are comfy. Breakfast plentiful and I liked the idea that you can make up your packed lunch from items from the breakfast area for the cost just 1 .5 euros, very good value. The vegetarian menu at night is a... Trravelled by rail. The hotel is opposite the station and is well placed to visit from Koeln to Rudesheim. Deightful town for walks along the river and the hills beyond. The hotel is very comfortable although basic and the food choice is varied and well prepared. Mr Pinger is an attentine and considerate host

Stayed for 4 nights as part of rail holiday. Food was excellent, buffet breakfast had lots of choice, as did buffet dinner ( 3 courses, gorgeous soups, good choice of dishes). Hotel encourages guests to make up rolls at the breakfast area for later at a charge of €1.50 which was a great idea. Hotel spotlessly clean, staff friendly, all... More

Stayed here on a rail holiday. Couldn't be much closer to the station, so no distance to take case. All our group were allocated rooms quickly and given details about meal times and a map of Remagen. As we were all inclusive were given a voucher for drinks in the evening and to get a packed lunch. Our room had... More

Our first ever rail holiday - and beforehand must say I wasn't really looking forward to it at all. How wrong could I have been. Really enjoyed every single minute. Rail travel, hotel, food, excursions, diamond group and Keith the tour guide were all amazing. Hotel staff extremely friendly, polite and helpful - hotel itself is spotless - admittedly some...
