ok so the reviews even before i stayed here were mixed, but after staying here i see no issues. Hotel feels moderately old, but the room & bathroom is good enough for your average traveler who is more interested being outside the room being active or spending early morning overlooking fjord/cruise ships from the balcony. Your avg Norway bed and...

I went to visit geiranger with my friends. I found a lovely hotel called Hotel Geiranger. The hotel is near by the fjord, we could see the views clearly from the hotel rooms. Rooms and the bed were very nice and comfortable. Best to stay there during the summer time in Norway.

When I was planning a vacation in Norway with my wife, I realized how few hotels there are in Geiranger. I would imagine a good deal of their traffic is via the Fjords with the cruises so the Hotels seem a little neglected. There was very limited availability when I finally booked our stay for a night in Geiranger, and...

Hello, Thank you so much for your feedback, it is very important for us. Geiranger is not that big a place, but to get a nice accommodation, even though not very modern, so close to the ferry terminal is fortunate. Only problem was that the entry from lower floor level restaurant is clumsy with no directions even to the lift. Very good, courteous staff.

My husband and I stayed for two nights at the end of September. We were given a room overlooking the rear car park. My husband asked was that the best they had and he was told we had been upgraded to a mountain view room and there were no rooms overlooking the fjord left. The room was comfortable but dated....

Amazing place and experience. Awesome view, clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. The place is just steps from the ferry and bus stop. From there you can walk to the restaurants and sight views. I would come back for sure!

GOOD: Friendly staff, clean room, modern bathroom, good breakfast buffet and free coffee and tea in the lobby. BAD: Geiranger is a tourist hole and for this you pay. Our room had view towards the mountain, with other words, no view at all. A steep price for this view.

I hate to write bad reviews because not everything can be all bad...but, this was pretty bad. Our room was in the front on the second floor with a slight corner view, trouble was everyone passing by could see in. The room was small, very dated, bathroom very dated. There was a light that was just bare bulb because the...

We stayed at the hotel for two nights having been allocated a room with a great view of the fjord. It was very relaxing sitting on the balcony and watching the world go by, including cruise ships docking and people disembarking by means of a mobile 'bridge'. I think our room size is sufficient though bathroom rather tight. It would...

Room with a view was provided per request. There was a nice covered balcony to sit on while watching the ferries and cruise ships come and go.
