Not impressed at all...Reception Staff not that friendly. Hotel no where near full but they said there was no double bedded rooms and gave us a small twin. The bathroom was so small It was difficult to access the toilet Twice my husbznd hit me accidentaly when he opened the bathroom door. not user friendly at all.The towels were small, discoloured, and harsh. Luckily we had taken our own towels The wooden stairs to the pool are rickety and unsafe Thankfully we only stayed one night and would not recommend. Its more 2 star than 3 star

Dear Mrs. Kate, thank you for your candid feedback, we are sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with the competence of our front desk team. However, we were in fact full, and didn’t have double beds available, as it was explained by the receptionist at the check-in. We are very sorry that you left in a hurry, without checking out of the hotel, and didn’t gave our breakfast a chance to surprise you. Best Regards, Hotel de Moura.

We felt like in a *****Hotel of the bigining of the last century. Marble stairways, huge rooms with stucco ceilings, nicely decorated living rooms, a cosy bar, charming decoration everywhere. If you are looking for a modern hotel with all the unnecessary wealth rubbish which so called travellers are in need, forget Moura Hotel but if you want a unique surprise for an unbeatable price, enjoy the place as much as you can.

Lovely hotel, ample parking at rear and great historic building. If you come here for star gazing (marina) then be prepared to be disappointed. We arrived on a clear night, no moon but star gazing average to poor in Moura - over rated.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and we appreciated it in general, friendly personnel, nice room, confortable bed, interesting ambiance. Just 2 remarks on the hotel, though not justifying the poor avaliation. We never had wifi on our room at the 2nd floor, despite had told it to the reception on both days. There aren't any eggs for breakfast. So, what justifies the poor avaliation is that there is a stone craft shop in front of the hotel, with a stone cutting electric machine right on the front door, that they start using just moments after 8h00 am. See photo. While this situation remains, we can not return to this hotel and we can not recomended it either. Maybe someone at the city hall is not doing its work properly, but it is the hotel that is penalized.

This beautifully recomissioned former palace is nothing less than spectacular in its architecture and room size. It's easy to find with on street parking at the door and covered parking around the corner. Once the check in is complete, however, be prepared to climb one or two flights of stairs. THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS in this heritage building. The very high ceilings continue in the rooms, which are well equipped with queen beds and separate modern bathrooms. Our room with floor to ceiling windows looked out on the square. Heating and air conditioning is individually controlled. The continental breakfast was served in what must have been the grand dining room-spectacular! We'd stay here again for sure.

Dear Mr. Michael, many thanks for your wonderful review and for giving us a perfect rating! We are truly pleased to know that you had a good stay with us, specially you enjoyed our Hotel and breakfast service. However, we regret the fact that we do not have a lift, since Hotel de Moura is classified a heritage of public interest, which restricts any type of modification to the structure. Will be a pleasure to welcome you back and if there is something that we can do for you in your next visit, do not hesitate to contact us! Best regards, Hotel de Moura
