Context: We're a retired couple looking for value-for-money, clean, comfortable, quiet-as-possible, well-equipped, self-catering accommodation. These apartments ticked all the boxes for us.
A small complex, in gardens, with a couple of (smallish) pools, the air-conditioned one-bedroom apartments (20 in total, in 2-storey blocks) are roomy with a large sitting room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen contains plenty of cupboards, a decent-sized work surface, an electric oven, 4 - ring hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle and double sink. There is a washing machine in a cupboard on the rear balcony, and a clothes airer.
The sitting room has a sofa/bed, a sideboard/cupboard/bookcase unit, dining table and 4 chairs, air conditioning and a flat screen television. The sliding French window leads onto the front balcony with chairs and tables, overlooking the pools (in the sun from about 11 in the morning until sunset. The rear balcony has sun from sunrise until late morning.)
The bedroom has a large, king-sized bed, bedside tables, spacious fitted wardrobes, its own air conditioning unit and French windows opening onto the rear balcony. There is a (free) safe provided in the wardrobe unit.
The bathroom is large, with bath, shower over, washbasin, toilet and bidet. There is plenty of hot water, and the shower is exceptionally powerful!
Worthy of special mention are the roller shutter blinds on all the windows, helping to keep them cool during the day and wonderfully quiet and dark at night.
The owners and staff are there when you need anything, but otherwise unobtrusive. The complex has a small bar for drinks and snacks, and this is in the process of being upgraded to extend the range of food offered.
Are there any downsides? The only one I can think of didn't affect us as we had a hire car throughout, but the location is a few kilometres outside the Alvor town centre, restaurants and beaches, so could be a problem for anyone without their own transport. There is plenty of space for parking inside the hotel grounds.
All in all, the Santa Teresinha had everything we wanted, and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back.

We have had 4 Summer holidays here and have thoroughly enjoyed each experience. There are 20 appartments in total but it's always been peaceful and relaxing during our stays in July. There is a small, well maintained adult pool and a little pool for toddlers too. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols plus a bar area where you can buy hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice creams etc. Jose, the owner, is almost always on site and is quick to deal with any queries. Lots of supermarkets if you have a car but Pingo Doce is a 15 min walk away in the direction of Alvor. There's also a little shop in Montes d'Alvor itself where you can buy fresh rolls for breakfast. Over the years the wifi signal has improved and is currently excellent, great when you have teens!
Each appartment is well equipped and and suitable for up to 4 adults. Most have washing machines and air con but you will have to check with owner. Sunshine guaranteed almost every day, paradise on earth!

Apart hotel with a difference! Family owned with 3 generations on site Granny Elisa always on site. Guests 90% Portugese with young families. Car essential or taxi 5 euros to town beach 10 euros. Highlight water taxi to stunning Lagos 20 euros return.Apartments spacious clean with everything you need. Low point Faro Airport departures give yourself plenty time as Q's endless !!

This is the second time we have stayed at these apartments and it won't be the last! The apartments are very handy to the village of Alvor. Taxi only cost about three euros. The apartments are very clean and all the staff are very friendly.

We love Santa Teresinha Apartments, second year coming here and it is the best place to sit back and relax!
There is a pool which is usually quite quiet, lots of sun loungers available and a great snack bar which serves delicious smoothies and a range of food.
The apartments themselves are very clean and tidy and have everything you need.
It is situated just outside of Alvor village, about a kilometer or so, and it is a short walk into town which we did most days.
The best part of the apartments though is that it is a family run business and the staff just couldn't be any more helpful. We had such fun with everyone that works there and they are just lovely people.

This was our third stay as a family here and we just love coming back and are already looking forward to our next visit hopefully really soon. The apartment we stayed in was clean and towels and bed linen were fresh and clean. The pool is amazingly cold on a very hot day which is a blessing. All the staff work hard to make you feel at home and like one of the family. It is close to all amenities but is far enough away to be very peaceful.

We stayed at these Apartments for a week! The complex is made up of twenty apartments spread across two levels. The apartment have twin or double room and a pull out bed in the very spacious living, kitchen area. Each apartment has a hob/oven, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and enough pot, pans etc if you want to eat in. There is a small swimming pool which is very welcoming after a day sat soaking up the sun on your own terrace. There is a bar insight were you can sit in the shade an enjoy a beer or a cup of coffee. We found the staff to be very welcoming and they serviced the apartment twice during our stay. The manager Jose was very helpful and nothing was a bother. We enjoyed our stay so much going back for another visit in September X well done guys x

2nd time staying here and i am very pleased with the accommodation. Its not the most budget place but for you get your money's worth. The hotel has a nice swimming pool, and the apartment has a kitchen (fridge/microwave/kettle/stove/oven/utensils), a toilet, a double bedroom, and 2 balconies (1 in the living room another in the bedroom). Fully air conditioned, which makes it very comfortable in the summer. Parking is plentiful, and there's also a snack shop where you can buy food/drinks and watch tv. Towels are provided, but soap/shampoo isn't.

I go to Alvor almost every year .I stayed here last year and am going back in October .They are set a little outside alvor but it is a nice walk or short {very} taxi ride into Alvor . Its location is quiet the pool is well maintained theres a bar .The apartments are fully equipped inc washing machine . they are clean and comfortable and the staff are excellent and cant beat the price . Just book the apartment independently then flight and transfer its a bargain way to get to the Algarve .My week in Alvor will be costing me 100 for flight 24 transfer and my share apartment 75 euro for a good holiday very good environment friendly staff , bliss
