Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Excellent location and facilities in this reasonably priced accommodation. Rooms are well equipped and clean and there is even a kitchen area where everything is at hand to cook your own meals (if you wish) as well as do your washing. Just a 5-minute walk from the town, this accommodation has a swimming pool and hot tub as well as numerous sun loungers. The hosts are very helpful and friendly: highly recommended.

A place to escape, relax and enjoy! Great suite, very comfortable, clean and access to great facilities. Having option to have a continental breakfast each morning was an added bonus. Secluded and private allowing for a special break in the sun. Our host was very helpful, accommodating and ensures guests needs are met.

Have stayed at Summer Cascade on numerous occasions - brilliant place - Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Great outdoor pool area and a well stocked kitchen. Lucibela is a wonderful host and has looked after us well during all the years we have been visiting x

Double booked the room I had paid for and given basement room with bathroom down a corridor. When I complained I was made to leave immediately and was promised a refund. This they didn’t pay. All conversations and actions were described in mails on Booking. Com site. They refuse to arbitrate and I have lost my money together with costs of short notice alternative.

On 26 February ? I booked a Deluxe double suite which was confirmed by the owner who debited my account for the full amount .Over seven weeks later and the day before I was due to arrive I was told that my booking had been altered to a different room. Upon arriving I found that my accommodation had been changed to a very small room below two flights of stairs with a bathroom located at the end of the corridor. We arrived late at night so the following afternoon I rang the proprietor and said we had been given the wrong room. She became very agitated and explained that the deluxe double suite was already occupied . When I said this was similar to a double booking and was unacceptable she demanded that we leave the Guesthouse. We had a hire car and accommodation in Alvor with parking is very limited especially as it was urgently required. I have had to pay almost 750 euros more to find alternative accommodation within 12 hours. I believe that the owner is in breach of her contract in as much as she accepted my booking and then altered matters without my consent. Her unwillingness to discuss the matter and evicting me within 12 hours is highlighted in the copies of text messages that are attached. The owner now refuses to make a refund.
