Just back from a week in Alvor, everything about the accommodation, facilities, and Alvor was fabulous. The pool at the hotel was just what we needed for our 2 year old and the Atlantic pool was stunning. We had a one bed apt which was well equipped, very big and had a lovely view of the sea. Will definitely be returning.

We have returned today from a 10 day holiday at this resort. Once our accommodation was sorted out it was a lovely place to stay. On arrival , which was quite late in the day we were given the keys to our two bedroom villa. (booked through Booking.com) No one is on hand to help find the villas in the dark, but we managed. We discovered that the villa offered (C05) was very rough. Smelt damp, no kettle, broken sun beds, on three levels, with the bedrooms downstairs. I went to reception to complain the following morning and was offered to move to another villa. We had it explained that not all the accommodation is owned by the resort, quite a few are privately owned and to some extent neglected. It was not the fault of the resort, the owners have advertised the villa. Despite this we were offered a much better villa, better condition and better equipped. However within two hours we were on the move again as the villa had a problem with the gas boiler. It was explained that it would be safer to move us again as they could not repair it immediately. It was on the final move we were offered a three bedroom villa that was much better. The staff were quite helpful, and indeed the resort manager himself dealt with our final move. Be aware the resort does not provide beach towels or a hair dryer, although you can borrow one from reception with a deposit. The resort is attractive and in a perfect location. As regular visitor to Alvor this is near enough that you don't need a car if you don't want one.
I would certainly consider booking again. Well done!

I stayed here for a week with my sister… Booked through On the Beach We were given the keys to the apartment, given vague instructions on how to get there. No help whatsoever with luggage. Humping 20kilos suitcase and hand luggage. We are both in our 60’s We eventually found the apartment, after walking around in the heat covering 4.5 miles!! The apartment was horrible, nothing like the photos shown by OTB furniture old and tired, it was depressing. We left cases and returned to reception. Long story shortish, we asked to upgrade.. Given keys to 2 accommodations First was the same as original only 2 bed no door on washing machine… £309 to upgrade The next was a 2 bed townhouse. This was much more like the one we were expecting. £424 for this one. We took the townhouse. We ended up booking a taxi, at this point we had done 5.5 miles walking. The taxi picked us up at reception took us to pick cases up from original accommodation. Then took us to the new townhouse. Cost of 15 Euros. By this time it was dark🤦♀️ Taxi driver drove as far as he could. Then we had to try and find accommodation in the dark, lugging cases. I ended up sharing my bed with a colony of ants 🐜 I would not recommend this hotel. Or booking with On the Beach.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom townhouse, it was clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen and lovely outdoor area overlooking one of the pools. The village is quite large so depending where you stay it could be a long walk with your luggage after checking in at the hotel reception. Only a short walk to the beach and the bus stops to travel into Alvor or Portimão but there are also plenty of places to eat and a small supermarket in the village. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the resort was perfect for our two young children.

A beautiful and quiet location in April. We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed breakfast in the hotel twice during our stay. Due to it being quiet, some food was cooked to order. Also enjoyed Miss Pasta I agree with other reviews that charging for sunbeds seemed really silly - everyone was just sat on the grass next to them. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the townhouse we stayed in was perfect. The complex is large but it has a lovely feel to it. We enjoyed walking back to our house via a different way each time!

we booked the hotel direct and this was the start of the first class service. The hotel arranged the transfer from Faro for us and we always found the staff very helpful . Especially the restaurant, Monica and her team( more about that later) We stayed in a villa that was massive. 3 floors , 3 terraces, Lower floor consisted of 2 bedrooms ( suitable for 3 kids) and 2 bathrooms. mid level was the entrance , dining and kitchen, and the top was the lounge. The decor is slightly dated , however interior design was not the reason for the holiday and everything was clean and worked. The complex has a well stocked shop, several restaurants and 2 no. pools that we took full advantage of. The atlantico pool is fantastic. We were there for a week and should have stayed longer, We had a walk to Alvor (about 30 mins with plenty of stops for refreshments) , we had a day at splash and slide ( brilliant) and a little visit to Praire da rocha ( as expected) To conclude - we stayed half board and this made the holiday even better. Firstly we didn't have to cook! but secondly and more important Monica and her team looked after us every morning and night - what a team. Always smiling, welcoming and accommodating. Thankyou all.

We had stayed here when our children were young. After more than two decades we took one son back with his wife and two small children. They loved it. Our individual villa was refurbished and in very good condition. The setting is lovely and photographs are easy to find. It is worth pointing out that accomodation is separted from cars, it does feel safe for children. Similarly the swimming pools are at a safe distance. The format for "Could you say a little more about it" does not apply. This is a villa complex and not a hotel.

Staff is very unexperienced and offers a poor service and knowledge about the area. Houses and villas very overrated offering few options and equipped with old furniture and utilities. The village is without any maintenance or very low. I've been were for 5 years in a row and the price is always higher but with less and less good service. Really sad because I love this place.

Built 50 years ago, never done or maintained again. Old and dirty, 2 sockets, virtually no lighting, no air conditioning, kitchen poorly equipped. Environment was beautiful. The hotel seems to be much better (not that difficult), but no dogs are allowed there. The apartment next to a shop and restaurant was a big disappointment! Do not!
