The staff here go above and beyond! They offer a transport service to and from the airport if it is required, which is extremely helpful as Faro airport is roughly an hour away from Alto. The facilities are gorgeous and well kept, it’s not too far from the local supermarket which is roughly a 5 minute walk also. Alto is very close to town which I filled with restaurants, however the apartment I stayed in allowed us to self cater. Had lots of options for food and activities. The apartments are spacious and the balcony is a gorgeous place for breakfast.

Great place to stay & apartments are spacious & well equipped. Pool area is large & has adequate sun loungers. Have stayed so many times at a private apartment we just love the place & it’s amenities. Would have given it 5 stars but the Cottons Restaurant was closed. Never the less it’s only a 10 minute stroll into the town where there are plenty of restaurants as well as those you pass on the way.

Wonderful place to stay. Close to all the great Restaurants, Arugula stands out for me along with the Steak house and the Chinese ! With the complex you have dedicated beds on the beautiful beach 🏖️ Looking forward to my next visit

Pool awesome’ day time snack bar awesome’ Bit far from the main areas so lots of walking. The room was so bad’ view to a builders car park and brick wall’ very poor’ 100s or steps to the front door. Some lights n the room don’t work and the kettle stop working. To cook you need to plug the gas bottle in yourself. Alvor it’s self is beautiful but I’d never stay in this hotel every again. The room wasn’t what we booked it’s nothing like the photos you see so. It’s the worse one iv ever stayed in

Nice comfortable spacious apartment. Good location. Good pool area with excellent food at pool side cafe. Clean and tidy site with well tended garden areas. Did you go in the indoor pool or exercise areas but tennis courts look in good condition.

My husband and I stayed for 15 nights from September 12 in this two bedroomed apartment in this complex. We'd been reliably informed it was one of the best places to stay in Alvor. We found the accommodation on Owners Direct website. In contact with the owners we paid the full amount, £1600 to their PayPal account on July 6. They requested the full amount be paid immediately due to the exchange rate between euro and pound. They committed to advising us of arrival details 3 weeks prior to us arriving. With 2 weeks to go I had to contact owner and request all details. The apartment we stayed at wasn't the one we had paid for. When I wrote a review the owner replied that she'd advised us of last minute change of apartment. This is totally mendacious, at no time did she communicate this information. Just be aware anyone booking this apartment might not get staying in it.

We stayed in Apartment 34F in the Alto Golf and Country Club in Alvor Portugal. This is a superb apartment in an ideal location close to the shops and beaches in Alvor. The apartment has been very tastefully decorated and furnished by the owners and as everything appeared to be brand new it seemed as if we were the first guests to have rented the place since it was refurbished. The apartment is situated in the Alto Golf and Country Club where there are many facilities including an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, restaurant, snack bar and tennis courts. We never used the outdoor pool even though the weather was hot and sunny. We did however use the indoor pool which is heated and situated very close to the apartment. The indoor pool also has an area with sun beds which is ideal for sun bathing. When you stay in this luxury apartment you are entitled to used one umbrella and two sun beds on the beach at Alvor near to the Restinga Restaurant. These sunbeds are free of charge but you have to go early as there are only a limited number. The apartment itself has very efficient air-conditioning in the lounge/dining room and both bedrooms. We did not use the air-conditioning much as the apartment stays quite cool during the day when the electric blinds are lowered. It is recommended to keep the blinds down during the day not only because it keeps the apartment cool but also gives it that bit of extra security. The kitchen is fully fitted with all brand new appliances including fridge/freezer, induction hob, electric oven, washing machine, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, electronic safe etc. There is also satellite TV, Wi Fi and a very nice patio area with six chairs and a table along with sun loungers as well. It is very pleasant to sit on the patio in the morning to have breakfast. In the afternoon the sun shines directly on the patio so it is ideal for sun bathing although somewhat too hot to sit outside to have a meal until the sun has set. Adjoining the patio is a very pleasant garden which is well looked after by the staff of the Alto club. Although the apartment does not have its own dedicated parking area, we always found somewhere to park close by. I think it essential to rent a car at the airport when staying in the Alto club as it is around 67 kms from Faro Airport. The receptionist in the Alto Club was very helpful on our arrival and gave us a lot of useful information regarding the club and facilities. There is also a very comprehensive instruction manual with photos in the apartment on how to use all the appliances. We enjoyed a superb holiday in this luxury apartment and would fully recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in Alvor. Many thanks to Paul Miller and we look forward to staying here again next year.

I love the Alto Club. I've been here many times and love the relaxed atmosphere and beauty of the place. Alvor is still a Portuguese village, not just a holiday town with lots of restaurants. The beach in Alvor is fabulous – long, wide, clean and stunning at one end with the famous Algarve rock formations with hidden bars and caves. The Alto Club has an arrangement with one of the beach clubs so you can have a comfy sun bed and umbrella for free. The pool at the Alto Club is large and spotlessly clean. We were there in September, so there were plenty of sun beds. Two sides have natural shade - perfect when the sun gets too hot. The daily lunch special at the pool bar is of excellent quality, as are the very reasonable coffees served there. The Alto Club is a mixture of long-time family owned units and Club owned ones, so you get a variety of residents and holiday makers. I’ve always stayed in the same villa and find it bright, spacious and airy. The cleaners make it perfect every time and the grounds keepers always have the gardens looking lovely. Reception staff are mostly friendly and helpful as well. All in all I can’t wait to go back.

This is a bit of a mixed bag! So we will start with the positives.....
We booked two 2 bed apartments for 7 days in February. Prior to our stay we had many correspondence with the resort which impressed us. We asked for some extra nights accommodation, that the two apartments could be close to each other and we needed a mobility scooter.....all these things were sorted quickly and efficiently. We were arriving after the reception closed but had clear instructions on how to find and enter our apartment..again we were very impressed. The apartments were next door to each other so couldn’t have been better placed. The quality of the apartments were excellent...spacious, furnished to a high standard and well equipped. The on-site facilities were also good, although it is a shame that the restaurant has closed. The location of the resort is also very good as you can walk into Alvor town centre, to the boardwalks and beach.
Now for the negatives.... we were aware that you had to pay for electric but were shocked when the amount for 1 apartment was just under 80 Euro’s! We live in a 4 bed house in the UK and don’t pay that much for a month! Goodness only knows what you will pay in the summer when the air conditioning is needed!! Midway through our stay a hairline crack appeared in a bathroom sink, we had no idea of how or why this happened. We reported it immediately. Upon checking out we were informed that we had to pay for this and they would contact us once they had a quote and if the company we booked through wouldn’t cover the cost. We had only just got back home when they rang saying they would be taking 180 Euro’s from our credit card to cover this damage, we tried to say that maybe it had happened during cleaning and that surely a compromise could but reached. We were then told that they would have to speak to a manager but that wouldn’t be until the Friday (this was Monday).You can imagine our disappointment when the following morning we received an email saying that they had taken the money. We emailed them voicing our dismay and received a very dismissive reply. After a fantastic holiday this left a very bitter taste and we would not trust them again with our custom.

Booking through management company or third party can depend on agreement so u would need to check either with avent or Alto Club.
