The surroundings are beautiful. This place has a soul and Margarita and Sandra did everything possible to help us. Bedrooms and beds in particular could do with an upgrade. The walk to the more or less legendary resataurant 'Es Verger' further up the mountain is a must do ! (takes about 50')

We stayed as a family in 3 rooms and all were beautiful. The gardens and pool were a delight and a perfect setting for a wedding or family party. Lots of space to relax and separate yourself from other guests. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. We spent 3 nights away from Palma and the yacht my husband works...

I stayed for 5 nights at Son Penyaflor in September 2014 as a solo traveller on a last-minute booking. First thing to clarify is that Son Penyaflor is NOT a hotel or pension. Contrary to information given on the booking portal I used, it is a self-catering house that can either be booked as a whole or room-by-room: they only...

This B&B is situated 5 minutes by car out of the centre of Alaro, a quit village in Majorca. It is an excellent starting point for hikers or mountain-bikers who want to explore the western mountain range (with a beautiful view point at the old castle of Alaro 1,5h by foot). You will come to this place for its silence...

This place is a bit off the beaten track above Alaro. Hard to find, no signs. But take the road towards Castillo del Alaro and restaurant Se Verger. One km after the sign to Se Verger and Castillo del Alaro you will find Son Penyaflor. You will be in the middle of the countryside and the house is hardly seen...

“rooms on the ground floor are cooler”

“Ask for a room on the ground floor if you struggle with the heat, as there is no AC or ceiling fans. The single room is over the main entrance and adjacent to the pool, so be prepared to be woken by early/late-arriving guests and early swimming pool users.”
