This is a fine peaceful oasis, off the main street with a garden, wine celler with tastings, , wonderful welcome, and parking lot. Classic historical building well updated.Generous breakfast. Take the time to walk through the gardens, walk into the town centre and enjoy the quiet and history. Great people-great value-best choice!
It was a privilege to stay at this old established bodega. The room was very luxurious, staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was sumptuous. We saw the grape harvest being processed, and tasted the wine, which is also excellent.
I agree with everything that has been said about this wonderful haven in the countryside (yet a 10min walk from the town). There's not much to see or do in Cambados itself but if you have a car, Pazo would make a perfect base for day trips to Santiago, Vigo etc. They do not offer meals other than breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants and tapas bars in town. We came by train to Vilagarcia, no taxis at the rank for ages but the station barman called one for us. Taxi fares are 17 euros from Vilagarcia to Cambados, 35 euros from Cambados to Pontevedra. If you are travelling by train or car between Santiago and Vigo, it is very much worth the detour.
We fell in love as soon as we entered the old and glorious estate. Our room was a nice size, bathroom quite spacious, cool breezes, best breakfast on our trip, and a lovely glass of wine as a gift. The grounds are great to walk around and the aviary is quite something. I would love to return and stay longer!
We spent 2 days here and chose this hotel because of the reviews and it lived up to expectations. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated as was the hall and lounge area. The gardens was full of vines and a variety of birds e.g peacocks, which I thought I was imagining until we ventured to the gardens. The courtyard was also stunning and so peaceful. It has good parking and only 5-10 mins into town. A good base to explore the area. The breakfast was outstanding! Toast and marmalade or porridge is now so boring!!!
