Stayed 1 night on business. This hotel is a little bit dated, lobby area and attached restaurant could do with a refurb, however the staff were incredibly friendly and could not have done enough to make the stay comfortable.

My room was clean and modern looking (Room 803) and although the bed was slightly hard, generally a good night sleep.

Bathroom a little small, but clean and well stocked.

Breakfast was fine. Hotel would benefit from making all rooms non-smoking.

I spent one night at this hotel and was pleased. The room was big, was nicely decorated (maybe a little old fashioned) with a nice big bathroom. The bed was good and the hotel quiet, so I got a good sleep.

I spent a couple of night at hotel almirante. My room was quite confortable, with a large bathroom. Furniture is a little outdated; a small table for wrinting would have been of help.
A good fresh breakfast is served. The staff is very helpful.

Stayed at the hotel for 18 days and enjoyed every day. Comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff in reception as well as restaurant/cafeteria. Enjoyed the breakfast in spite of same meny every day. Short walk to nearby restaurants/shopping if needed, good for a quiet evening walk.

I was put into the Almirante on a business trip. The hotel is conveniently located about a 10 minute walk from the dockyard entrance where I was working so this was perfect.

The hotel has a restaurant, serving a reasonable breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sadly didn't get to have dinner there as; by the restaurant manager's own admission it didn't cater to vegetarians at all. The hotel also has a bar / cafe which serves some lighter foods and some of those are vegetarian OK.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and for the most part speak English quite well; better than my Spanish anyway!

The rooms are quite reasonably appointed, although the furniture has that "Ikea" look to it, but its quite OK. Beds were a bit hard and if I'm going to be picky, they could have put more pillows on the bed.

There is a relatively good GADIS supermarket just round the corner.
The main town square is a short 5 minute walk downhill and there are various restaurants and other shops in the vicinity.

A local pizza Delivery service provides a "to your room" hotel service, if you want that sort of thing.

Prices for services and food are overall quite reasonable.

Stayed in this hotel a couple of more times since my first review, both through work. I like this hotel, nice and central, very clean and staff very good. The rooms are a good size, and the bathrooms excellent. The maids always made the rooms up to a high standard, and always left ample soaps in the bathroom. The last visit I was given a balcony room which was an added bonus. If I was to criticise anything I would say that at times it can be a little noisy with late night revellers, but that is city centre living. This would always be my first choice of hotel in Ferrol.

Have stayed at the Almirante on a number of occasions. The hotel is typical of many i9n regional Spain as it's quite basic but OK for a few nights on business. The desk and bar staff are polite and professional with enough command of English to understand your basic needs. The buffet breakfast s very good but after a few days of the same choices it can start to lose its appeal. Parking is available in the nearby Placa De Espana underground car park but I strongly recommend you drop your bags off at reception first as otherwise you'll either have to carry them up a few flights of stairs or walk up the vehicle access ramp (dangerous!!).

Stopped here for a few weeks whilst working at the nearby shipyard. It's a nice hotel, the rooms are quite minimalist but are very comfortable and clean, mine could have done with a bit of paint on one wall however.

The overall experience is let down by poor standards sadly. Breakfast is pretty poor, be late down at your peril as what's out stays out and when it's gone it's gone. I had a late breakfast this morning after weeks of being down at 7am prompt and there was hardly anything left and all the
tables had just been left from previous diners, I had to clear a table myself to sit at.

The same is true of the food in the restaurant in the evening, frankly it's terrible from what I've tried of it. The starters seem to come in portions big enough to feed a small third world country leaving you over full for your main, from my experience of the mains though you probably will want to eat all your starter. The steak with cheese on is terrible, I tried the pork and it was very undercooked and fatty and the lamb is quite nasty. Everything is clearly served a la ding where possible.

There is a nice little cafeteria area when you can chill out that gets quite busy with locals at times, this is the best bit of the experience really.

Could be a great place, let down by terrible food and poor attention to detail. There is a supermarket just down the road, cashpoint opposite and plenty of place very close by to eat at though.

Hotel from a hotel chain, but lacked experienced staff on the front desk. Wrong information given, door card key not correctly programmed. Still the staff was friendly.
Location of the hotel is between old city area and the new city area, and conveniently located both near the train station and the bus terminal.
Room was spacious, but decorated with some old/tired furniture. The floor carpet wasn't that clean, but except from that, the room seemed clean. WiFi worked ok, good bandwidth, and no password needed to connect. Shower need some maintenance, as the water flow wasn't going that well. Poor maintenance (for a hotel chain, one would expect better).
Breakfast buffet was good, but they lacked staff to clean the already used tables (tables which weren't many), so new people/guests that arrived had to clean the tables themselves to get a free place to sit ... Staff was only occupied with refilling the buffet, and didn't even care about new guest arriving and having no clean place to seat.

Had a large room with additional room adjoining. Also had a large bathroom. On arrival we were treated to complimentary cake and water. The hotel location is handy for central Ferrol. Good selection of continental breakfast items.
