Hi all, myself and a friend pulled up to the landing spot after a days paddle. I politely enquired about staying the night. My question was not answered, instead we where confronted with a character assassination by a lady that worked there. (about 50, grey hair, a little bit short). We where on an expedition, 2nd day in so brought...

What a beautiful location. Toilets not cleaned for two days despite over 100 people using the lavs. Doesn't take much to keep the facilities cleaned after all. One of the ladies lavs is flooded and dirty water paddled everywhere.

Location by the river is beautiful, although the campsite seems a bit of an after thought, main business being the canoe/kayak shop, followed by the car park and then the campsite. The campsite is a small field by the river, lovely setting but that's about it. If you are after a canoe camping holiday this is probably a good place...

This is the only campsite in Symond's Yat East, and it's right on the river, and right next to the Wyedean canoe hire centre. It's a three-minute walk to the fabulous Saracen's Head pub, and also pretty close to the Symond's Yat Rock - a very steep walk up through the woods to the top of the rock. If you...

This could be a lovely campsite, it looked nice on the website and we were hoping to book. I sent an email- gave dates, numbers and all information needed. I received a very polite email back quoting a price and was asked to call to book. I called and was told that I must pay for a third night, as...

stayed here for 2 nights this week (June) we camped the day before we were due to canoe. We arrived very early as we'd had a long drive and we were still allowed to start putting up the tents. The site itself is small and the noise bond payable for large groups ensures that the site remains peaceful. Situated right...

The camp site is small enough that we didn't need to worry as we lay by the river just 50 metres from the campervan. Tents are right by the river, so even easier. Good sized raised hard standing for campervan, with water supply near by allowing tank to be filled. Lovely walks both up and down the river. Pub is...

Great site in a beautiful location, Symonds Yat is a little hamlet with great views. We did two nights and a 15 mile canoe trip from Ross. Truly wonderful! The site has updated the showers and toilets but this is an "adventure site" not a luxury site. Staff are helpful for both the site and the canoeing. Recommended.
