Only stayed here for one night as part of our tour, but wish we had booked more. Room and bathroom were clean/ comfy, food was good, staff were polite and friendly, busy bar but a great lounge for chilling out. Will go back.

We stayed for one night in a family room, room and bathroom very spacious. There was a double bed and 2 single beds and still plenty of room for us. We had bar meal of the evening which was very nice, service was brilliant. Yes the hotel is a bit dated and need of updating but it is clean and...

Had 2 night B&B stay and was pleasantly surprised; bedroom very spacious, bathroom and shower superb, hall & storage facilities fine, breakfast very good even although feeding 3 coach parties at the same time. Yes, some areas of the hotel are dated but you can't refurbish the whole hotel at once. Equally, yes, wifi is dodgy (best to try in...

Would really like to thank Elaine and all the staff for the wedding reception we had for our son and his new bride. The food, decorations and service by the staff were first rate and all the guests were extremely impressed with the hotel as a wedding venue. Could not have wished for a better place for their special day.

From the moment we checked in, until the moment we checked out, we were impressed and would highly recommend this hotel! Spacious room with a traditional "homely" feel throughout the hotel. The food and service in the dining room was faultless..... Waiters were exceptional - presentation/professional/smiling and considerate. Reception check in/out was smooth. Really clean hotel and appears to attract...

We stayed for a few nights, the room was comfortable but out of date. TV reception poor and no phone signal, no wi fi. The food was good and the service excellent, although we asked for ice cream instead of cream on the dessert and were refused!

What can I say about this hotel? It's a mixture of good and bad. It is a bit dated and sprawling but it is actually alright for a short stay. My room was large and had an updated new bathroom which was bright and clean. The room was on the ground floor and was simply too warm for comfort..also footsteps...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
For true Highland hospitality come to the Highlander, a hotel renowned for its good food and warm welcome. The hotel is an ideal base for touring the North of Scotland with mountain ranges, forests, lochs and river valleys waiting to be explored. Wind down in our inviting restaurant serving an array of dishes made from locally sourced produce.
