It's convenient to the Maine/New Brunswick border and the St. John/Digby Ferry.

Property is nice and has a small town indie hotel feel to it. Breakfast was nothing special, toast/bagels/muffins, yogurt and fruit.

Our room was on the first floor. It was stuffy but we were able to open a window and leave it open all night. It was nice to avoid AC but there was a small amount of traffic noise throughout the night. It's sooo quiet otherwise that trucks and motorcycles are very noticeable even though it's several hundred feet off the road.
We also experienced some floor noise from the room above us.

Beds were a little squishy but I slept well.

There is a small playground across the field suitable for kids up to 8 yo or so.

We stopped here on our way from Halifax to Maine. This is a lovely, family-run hotel that sits just off the Main Street of St. George. Our room was very comfortable. Beds were firm, pillows fluffy and bathroom was clean and had excellent water pressure. The included continental breakfast included breads, bagels, yogurt, cold cereals, fresh fruits and very good coffee. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. We liked the fact we could walk right into town for supper and take advantage of some of the nearby walking trails located adjacent to the hotel.

This is a good place to stop for 1 or 2 nights if you are traveling through New Brunswick. Very clean rooms, friendly staff and well kept grounds.
Close to the town center but very quiet. They have a decent breakfast included with your room with really good banana bread.

Booked a suite for me, my wife and brother.
This is NOT a suite
It's just a large room with a king bed and a pull out couch
RIGHT at THE Foot of the bed
AND the whirlpool bath is next to the bed
ALL in ONE ROOM with no separation - Not even a screen or curtain or screen for privacy

Plus - found a used Breath mint stuck to the carpet next to the bed
mentioned that to the desk
No apology just "we'll talk to housekeeping"

Brother decided to cut stay short so with a couple of days warning changed reservation to an ordinary room for two. No need to pay extra for a "Suite"
Was told that it would not be a problem but we would have to check out (Before 11:00) AND take all of our belongings with us and check back in (after 3:00)

I asked if we could possibly put our luggage somewhere on site . NO
After breakfast I noticed (and checked to be sure with housekeeping) that the room into which we would be moving was made up. I asked the desk clerk if we could put our things in the room since it was booked for us and ready.
She said that was just not allowed. we had to take our things and come back after 3:00

What kind of place does that to their guests?

NEVER again

PS AC was very noisy and hard to set
Water temp in shower went from cool to scalding without any adjustment by the user. Talking to other guests we found that to be the norm for all or at least many rooms

Stayed at this property on a recent motorcycle trip from Toronto out to the East Coast.

The property was clean comfortable, although all the rooms and decor were a bit dated.

Hotel was quiet had a comfortable sleep in the air conditioning was ice cold.

The included breakfast had a limited menu, but there’s no reason to leave hungry.

Room rates were very reasonable.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I will definitely book again when I’m in the area. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff are always warm and friendly and the woman at the front desk in the morning was extremely personable - telling us funny stories and being interested in where we were traveling. Continental breakfast was pretty basic but good. Hotel is close to some good restaurants, walking trails, and gorge area.

Staff did their best, but owners have put no effort into keeping rooms well maintained. Example - heat/air unit worked BUT fan was so awful that it literally startled both of us out of a sound sleep every time it turned on. Bathtub had rust water stains around the edges. Everything just looked worn out and tired. Continental breakfast was adequate at best. Front desk clerk was trying her best, but clearly was new and had not been properly trained on how to use check in programs. Poor thing kept apologizing. Outside looked nice.

The rooms were clean and the property was well maintained. The staff were friendly and efficient which we appreciated as we needed a quick check in and out. The only negative experience was that we discovered the next morning that the fridge was turned too cold and froze all our food.

It was simply by a fluke that ended up here. I was checking places in Maine. We were staying in Grand Lake Stream , but wanted to take a little road trip. We tried Eastport but they were sold out, of course it’s August in Maine. So I thought At first St. George Maine and I called and booked a suite, last remaining one and we started down the coast until I realized looking at the additional information, something was wrong. We pulled over and I called again after seeing St. George NB Canada and we discovered yea they were in Canada but only 25 miles away so reverse course and headed to Canada. It is a beautiful family owned place complete with old fashioned keys and a lovely 480 sq ft suite with a mini kitchenette and best of all a jacuzzis tub that was heavenly. King size bed was wonderful. The room was clean and fresh. We have decided to make this our Canadian stop when we are in Grand Lake Stream. Border crossing was easy both ways . And it’s a lovely town , lots of friendly people.

Heading from Massachusetts to our cottage on Prince Edward Island with two dogs. Very long trip made longer due to rainy weather. Got across the border and called to check on availability. Yes, a room available, two dogs welcome $15 per dog. We arrived at 1:30 AM maritime time. Young woman at reception very kind, pleasant and caring. Room was clean with a window we could open. Bed comfy and slept like a log. Continental breakfast in AM was just right. We highly recommend Granite Town Hotel!
