Okay, we didn't get to spend the night here, but we had a sumptuous lunch after going on a rhino trekking at the ZIWA Rhino Sanctuary. They have a nice swimming pool that looked so inviting after all that trek and I guess the only thing that stopped us from diving in was the fact that we were on the...

Amuka is the only lodge on the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, just a few minutes drive from the main sanctuary head offices. Kept in good shape does the lodge convince with its facilities, a pool - most welcome to cool down after a hot afternoon out tracking rhinos - and a bar / restaurant which also serves as a lounge. The...

Worth it for the rhino trek. Staff very accommodating. "Top-class accommodation" is a bit of a stretch. The food is good. The trek is excellent, we were able to get very close to the rhinos. The beds are very hard. The mosquito nets hang from the centre and drape around the bed, however ours was very hard to attach as...

I was on a birding trip to Murchison Falls in Jan 2017 and saw the signs for the Ziwa Rhino Santurary on the way. On the return to EBB, I spent an evening at the Amuka Safari lodge (which wasn't listed in the Brandt guide). Absolutely wonderful! We arrived in the evening and few minutes later, we joined the group...

Excellent location to visit Rhino sanctuary. Big room, clean and Comfortable. The only problem is the ants, beware these ants will crawl into your suitcase. At night is quite dark, please bring torch if you want to go out. Restaurant staff are friendly, efficient and honest. I left my bag in the restaurant for one hour, the waiter bought it...

I spent one night in Ziwa last july with a friend of mine. We enjoyed it a lot. Rooms are vast and confortable, meals are good. We had nice sightings of rhinos ( mothers and very young calves ) The following morning, we walked with a ranger along the nearby Lugogo swamp and we were luky enough to spot the...

I will never forget my time here. Having the opportunity to walk out my door onto the beautiful red earth, go on amazing guided nature walks and view rhinos every day is a priceless experience. The management and staff, including the rangers and those at the lodge, are knowledgeable, kind and attentive.

Amuka Lodge is comfortable, friendly and clean. It is within the Rhino Sanctuary, and it is always a thrill to go and track wild rhinos. It is also near the wetlands where the unique shoebill storks are found, and is a wonderful place for birding. The tree beside the bar and the area within the camp are a constant source...
