Stayed here one night on a businesstrip. The hotel has some old colonial charme and the staff are friendly. It is also a bit run down and need some loving care. The shower almost worked and the food were good but took so loooong. It is also hopelessly overpriced, more than double that the competition. The place definitely has potential,...

So we were on our way back from Murchison Falls and this is a great little stop over. The history behind the oldest hotel in the area is lovely. The rooms are just what you need, but not luxurious, which is fine. The food at the restaurant was great and the service was friendly.

The hotel was a disgrace. Only good point was clean sheets and hot water. Bathroom light was broken, 1 lamp had bulb missing, another lamp was hanging off the wall. Noisy as beside main road. Need to close windows to keep some sound out. Dinner was cold and served on cold plates. When re-cooked came with same cold vegetables. My...

I stayed here while on a mission trip to the area. First off, ALL of the staff was wonderful! Every time i passed them they would stop what they were doing and say hello. The food was excellent. One of the days we were there, vendors from the area came to sell they crafts. They held our passports, etc in their...

On the way to Murchison Waterfalls we had stooped at Masindi Hotel. I was travelling with Angel, a lady from Kampala I had met when I was preparing my businesses trip to Uganda. Hotel is very nice in old colonial style. I had met such hotels in India and Pakistan, too. We had dinner there, hotel was quite empty, there...

One of the oldest hotels in Uganda. Hemingway and Bogart stayed here during the shooting of a film. Aside from old the facilities are ok, but one can't expect much comfort given the old strict ion and the Maintanance, but it did fit our budget. There is no AC I'm the rooms but you have a fan. Friendly staff and...

It's a quaint old colonial hotel with some famous guests in the past. It is close to the entrance to the Murchison Falls park. The rooms are basic and clean. The biggest problem is that the hotel is situated right on the busy main road with buses and trucks going by all day and night. I was awaken several times...

Charming old hotel, visited by some famous people back in the days, which gives his reputation. Not bad for a transit night, but don't expect too much in terms of comfort. Near the road, so very noisy.

Once in Kampala, I thought I should have a stopover in Masindi on my way to Murchison falls, I visited Masindi Hotel one of the Oldest ancient hotels in Uganda which was built during the time of the Building of Uganda Railway. This part of the country was termed as port masindi where more cotton was received to be packed...
