Another great week at Sambiya Lodge! I first stayed at Sambiya Lodge during Easter 1997 and have continued to stay there due to the excellent service, the comfortable accommodations, and convenience to activities I have enjoyed over the years. The location of the lodge provides a convenient location to access Murchison Falls, to fishing, several game drives and an easy...

I stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff friendly, food good and the Bandas clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the road to the Nile was badly corrugated and made the 1 hr trip uncomfortable, none the less the Lodge is well situated for exploring the Murchison Falls Park.

The Lodge staff exhibited superior customer service. The food met our standards and the Director made sure that our stay was comfortable by checking on us every evening at dinner time. I would say that the lodge is more than worth it.....it was actually the first lodge in Paraa..

We first booked a banda. But the Bandas are small, dark and are inadvisable. But it was possible to grade up to a Cottage. The Cottages are much better and so we were able to enjoy our stay! The pool is a perfect Location to relax after a hard day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Food was...

Robert B, Thank you so much for your review. The Bandas are definitely for travelers on a budget, but we always recommend the cottages and so we are glad that you were able to upgrade and enjoy them. We are so sorry about the water. This was a new development with some of the cottages and during your stay we...

This was a nice hotel, the rooms where stone cottages. The beds where very good with nice pillows, Limited power in the morning and evening then you have a solar light in the room for other times. Escorted to and from your cottage at night due to Buffalo on the property. The food was good and the staff are very...

We loved our vacation"hub" at the Sambiya River Lodge! The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. We got a great taste of living large in the wilds of Uganda, and were able to easily access Murchison Falls National Park.

Before going you have to ask yourself what are you looking for, if your in Murchison falls park then you are looking for adventure. Surely this is the place to be, too adventurous if you consider the Buffalo's straying outside. The idea of the place is original, with the concept of rooms scattered outside in lodges, comprising one or two...

Abaham, thank you very much for your review! Sounds like you had an adventure in Africa, which is what we strive for. It is very important for all guests to heed your warning about the Buffalo. We strive to be eco-friendly and understand that all the animals were there before us. We welcome them on the land, but we do...

I stayed here in November and found it delightful. The individual bands were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. They were arranged to give guests a feeling of space and privacy. Meals were delicious and served in a delightful setting.

The lodge is quite unique with set up made to feel like staying in the forest. In fact it gives that feeling of staying in the forest with all natural things around. Particularly at night the slow sound of animals moving around makes you bit scary and more thrilled with lack of electricity adding to the excitement. Problem could be...

Individual lodges, clean and comfortable.
