Great food and cold beer, we saw wild Chimpanzees not 400m from the lodge. Chimpanzee walk from here was mind blowingly good and the guides excellent. Our room was unreal, large full eco-facilities and nice hot water.

Buried in the Budongo rain forest, under the canopy of trees and accompanying colubus monkeys and toucans, this is unlike any other safari lodge! It's dark, moody and atmospheric. The surrounding forest has trails in all directions and we were fortunate enough to track down a large family of chimps high up in a fruit tree. The accommodation was a...

Absolutely loved staying here. Everything about it was really good including the wood cabin in the forest, the main reception block, the wonderful staff, the food, and the amazing chimpanzee tracking. Only stayed one night but could happily have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

I stayed here with my parents who came to visit me working in Uganda. We absolutely loved the attentive service and good food at the lodge, and the sensation of really being deep in the forest. The thing that makes this place stand out amongst all others for us was getting into bed (on what was admittedly a slightly colder...

We stayed at Budongo Eco Lodge some time ago, but stopping by for lunch over the Easter holidays on our way to Para reminded me of a fantastic time: We stayed in one of the private ensuite cabins, which are spacious, clean and taking the location into account they are quite luxurious. We really enjoyed our stay here. The chalet/cottage was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a much needed shower. We had a really beautiful walk with guides...

We stayed at Ecolodge as part of our drifters tour. The place is nice and the staff tries hard to make your stay comfortable. Altough, we stayed in the dorm, and there is a bit of a rat problem at the moment. But as your in the middle of a rainforest, this is not really suprising.

Although Budongo Eco Lodge is in a stunning location, it is very rustic and simple. Ordinarily, I can cope with an Eco lodge which tries to lessen the impact on the environment. However, the chalets and the main area are very simply built in wood with corrugated iron roofs making the rooms very hot and airless. Eco pit toilets are...
