Detailed Reviews
I checked in late, but informed my time of arrival beforehand. The staff were very friendly and helped me and my girlfriend to my room the moment I got there. The room had one of the most beautiful views of Galle that I have ever seen and this is coming from someone who has visited and lived in Galle. The room and the toilet was very spacious. We got the rooms on BB basis, they offered to send food to the rooms but we preferred to head out and stretch out for a bit, the view from the place that they served breakfast was unreal. They let us eat under an umbrella outside and we get the view of the ocean while eating. The food is clean and they got some really nice options. My girlfriend is a huge fan of string hoppers and their food did her justice. The best part about this place is, "Jungle Beach" is just a 10 min walk and its probably one of the best and cleanest beaches in Galle. Highly recommended for snorkelling. I would only advice you to go on a week day, can get crowded.

Levels, is a luxury botique villa at an amazing rate, offering beautiful rooms and a view that is breathtaking from each room. The scenic views that you wake up to with the fresh breeze on your face is not something that every hotel in Unawatuna Offers, but definitely Levels by Pearl Leisure!
They have a lovely roof top, great for hosting with a group of friends, you can request for a BBQ at a very reasonable rate or even a little romantic dinner date with the starry sky and the view of Rumassala from the best spot possible.
Their pool area with the lounging beds is just beautiful, it really brings out your value for money when you and your family and friends are able to sip on your drinks lounging on a double bed like luxury lounge couch over looking Unawatuna in a lovely pool.
Food arrays from local to western! Hands down the best Milk rice, Prawn Curry , Mutton curry, CoConut Roti and Yummy Curd Panna Cotta you could ever have with some rich intense coffee 😊
The service is AMAZING ensuring you are checked in with all safety measures and keeping you feeling at home!
This is a must visit spot ticking off everything you want from a holiday! 😊

I booked a suite room 24 JULY to spend one night as a friend too recommended this hotel. On arrival the reception was warm and the views from the room were absolutely fascinating. Food wasn't that great. Dinner served was average by SL standards. However the real shocker was to follow. Room did not have hot water. When informed the housekeeping came to the room and checked and said they will send the maintenance to look into it, but nobody followed up despite being personally informing the Manager too. No alternate room arrangement was offered either. When the bill was to be settled I did bring it to their notice that we were inconvenienced due to lack of hot water and they could not sell the room at the price they initially offered the response from the manager was shocking. Finally with reluctance they offered a discount. Never offered an apology or regret. Breakfast was very poor too.

Spacious rooms and amazing views..
Pool was really clean and atmosphere was great.
I was really unhappy with the food though..
portions were really small and the food was not provided on time.. It’s not worth the price and even the desserts were really bad.. bananas they served weren’t ripe and the staff needs a lot of training when taking orders as they were clueless.
Kids meals were alright.

The website is very misleading as the hotel has become very outdated and is certainly not 4 star as the website suggests. Its no longer a modern and elegant boutique hotel but i can see that it once was.
The hotel are clearly struggling financially, the bathrooms are very tired and they do not offer services like laundry or spa as advertised. The bath is unusable as its very dirty and there is a leak when turned on. Wifi connection is probably the worst we have had in Sri lanka and there doesnt seem to be any English speaking TV channels. The staff try but are not experienced enough to provide a 4 star service so some things are left lacking. Cheaper products are used at breakfast and you cannot have a juice if you have fruit for example.
Also be aware that the hotel is a bit noisy at night from the staff running around and some guests have to walk past your window to get to their door (which they can see through!!). Our room was a good size and the hotel has a view is nice. The hotel is up a very steep hill so tuk tuk / transport required into the main town (tuk tuks do struggle a bit getting up the hill).
Overall very disappointing for the high price and false advertising on the website which sets the wrong expectations (for westerners particularly).

I stayed here for a week in January 2022. It is situated high on Rumassala near the Japanese Peace Pagoda and Jungle Beach. The views are spectacular and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast is cooked to order rather than buffet style and Sri Lankan breakfast is available to order the night before.
You may have difficulty in getting a tuk tuk to take you up the hill, but we found a great guy who was friendly and reliable. He lived in the nearby village, his name is Iranga and he can be contacted by whatsapp +94 77 683 9075

We had a booking on this hotel and it was 2.30pm when we arrived to the hotel for lunch. We signed the documents and direct went for lunch without asking room key. It was around 3pm when we came back from lunch and they said still the room is not ready yet and ask us to wait in the pool area. They we have waited one hour and asked for the room key. Still not ready yet. There were 2 more coupls and they also had the same issue. It was around 6pm when we get our room keys and almost best part of the trip is ruined due to their negligence. They didn't even inform this prior attending to the hotel.
Room and the location was nice and later they sent a fruit bucket also to apologise for the delay. They had the same menu for lunch and dinner and the food portion is not sufficient and food variety is low. Breakfast is ok.

One of the best boutique hotels I've been to so far! Stayed for two nights and completely lives up to it's name. The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and recommended some good nearby places to visit. They were even able to make me a customised dinner which i thought was unique and perfect! The views from the room and balcony were just too good to be true, especially during sunsets. All in all look forward to my next trip to Levels. Must definitely give some credit to Chef Grazian too and the manager Chrish for the fantastic services.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. The location in the jungle was fantastic and only a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride away from Unawatuna or Galle and a short walk to Jungle beach. Roland and his team were very good, nothing was too much trouble. Only 2 small criticisms, the place is looking a little weary and could do with a lick of paint and it does need a deep clean (shower screens for example) I only say this as we liked the place so much and a couple of small improvements would take it from great to excellent

Not too tough at all. The Galle highway is super convenient allowing you to get from Colombo to Unawatuna via the highway in less than an hour. Alternatively, you could take the train or bus to the Galle station and get a tuk tuk, which you would quite enjoy in terms of views.
