The drive from Jaco beach to Hotel Paraiso was an adventure. We were very thankful it was not the rainy season. The young woman at the reception was adorable, her English was as bad as my Spanish but we did pretty well communicating that we were there for a hike and lunch. She suggested we only do the short 1... More

The only reason why my review is not a 5-star one is because of the hotel's location. There's a log dirt road to get from Parrita to the hotel. Aside from that, everything was great inside the hotel. You're welcomed by friendly staff, room was clean with A/C, the restaurant in te hotel is a bit pricey but it is... More

Beware of your stay at the Hotel Paraiso Carlisa, it is in the middle of no mans land with the Boa snakes running free as well as the flying ants in your room. When you inform the management, their solution is to sweep the room and go for a walk, just for them to return again and again. The animals... More

As the latest review is from last year I felt like writing about this hotel. It is a special place to stay for a couple of nights. We booked this hotel because most other hotels in the area of Manuel Antonio were fully booked. It takes approximately 1,5 hour drive to Quepos to enter Manuel Antionio National Parc. The hotel... This very nice hotel which has had better days. It used to be a Best Western. You see how things could have been. Still very nice but ..... The roads on the grounds are slippery. The walk paths are almost gone and overgrown. The service by Tatiana was superb. Food was excellent. In the days it gets very hot and... More

We knew we would love our stay at Hotel Paraiso Carlisa from the moment we walked into reception. It took us only an hour to book an extra night even though we were under a little bit of end of holiday time pressure. It was the perfect end to our 3 week stay in Costa Rica - I could not... More

We spent eight days in Costa Rica. While we enjoyed the ziplines and rafts and the tourist areas, the drive to Manuel Antonio seeing resort after resort did me in. We stayed at Paraiso Carlisa our last night in Costa Rica and our only regret was not staying longer. Before staying here read their website, it is off the beaten... More

A 17km dirt road separated this hidden gem from the main road between Jaco and Manuel Antonio and is a must stay! We stayed for two nights at this eco hotel, which was a peaceful and restful time. The day of arrival, we drove down from the Arenal area, along the pacific coast side to this hotel. Finding this hotel... More

This hotel is an experience, not just a place to stay. The beautiful setting, natural areas and wonderful staff made our stay truly enjoyable. The food was exceptional! Tony the chef made every meal a tantalizing delight for our tastebuds - the best food I've had here in Costa Rica. Joshua, from the front desk couldn't have been more helpful... More

When previous reservations fell through due to the World Surfing championships and almost every hotel being overbooked, my colleague managed to get a booking at the Paraiso Carlisa for 1 night, I ended up staying 4. Lthough advertised as a Best Western, the hotel is actually an independently owned and operated eco lodge about 15kms north of the main Jaco-Quepos... More
