We stayed as this hotel as part of our overnight tour. It is situated on the side of the mountain with amazing views! It was raining a little on and off when we arrived so we were able to see the rainbows right outside our room. We stayed in a nice little cabin that had a bed, small bathroom, tv,...

We were part of a Group Tour, the hotel is located in Santa Elena and close to Monte Verde Cloud Forest. It's a Budget Style motel/lodge with rooms that are ok, small functioning bathroom, great hot water Pro's: location, for fitness fanatics the walk into town & back is like half hour in the gym, attached restaurant with very good...

We had an upstairs room and it was very spacious and clean with a fridge and hairdryer. We sat out on the roof terrace outside our room on comfy rocking chairs and drank a cold beer while watching the sun set. The wifi was OK. Breakfast is included and offers either a typical breakfast (rice and beans, eggs, toast, ham)...

There were only two things that made this rental house fall short of getting five stars, the location makes for a long walk into town and some of the usual items were missing (paper towels, dish soap etc). The house itself is rented through the same people that offer the Cabinas closer to town. Booking was easy, check in was...

This hotel was awesome. Our suite was comfortable and perhaps the most comfortable place we stayed at in Costa Rica. One a clear day we were surprisingly able to see the pacific ocean from our balcony. When we needed to find activities to do, they were able to provide us with great suggestions to do (we would recommend the night...

This place is at the top of a steep hill, so if you are walking it's a way up. My room was spacious, had a fridge, plenty of power points. Bathroom has a hair dryer. Water is freezing, it may have already been used by others staying there. Bathroom is a bit grubby and cleaners don't replace toilet rolls. They...

Great locally family owned hotel. I stayed in room 11 and it was clean, well cared for and the beds were comfortable. It's also just up the hill from central de Saint Elena, which I like because it's quiet and peaceful. The price was reasonable and included breakfast and wifi.

I loved this hotel! It is set apart from the center of town which provides a calm atmosphere to relax and explore. It also adds the benefit of allowing you to be the last picked up and the first dropped off when taking shuttle buses for tours. I found this absolutely wonderful because you didn't have extra wasted time in...

I loved this quaint place. It was very unique and on top of the hill with great view of Monteverde! Staff was amazing and friendly! Breakfast was very good and we felt very welcome! I especially like sitting out on the veranda in the rocking chairs enjoying the fresh air and looking at the view!

When we made our reservations on-line we were initially concerned by any hotel named "Don Taco." In fact, Hotel Don Taco is a great find. It is clean, simple, and well-located. It is family-run by great people. They helped reserve numerous trips. My kids loved it. We would unquestionably stay at Hotel Don Taco again. The rooms are simple and...
