Very helpful receptionists when recommending tours and giving directions for further travel. The b&b offers free coffee and tee all day long. You can choose from 5 types of breakfast. The downsite is that some rooms have small windows up by the sealing and limited air circulation. All in all good value for money.

Nice and clean B&B, Friendly staff, on a dirt road off the main road to Santa Elena. Lots of little restaurants nearby and excursions to various thrill adventures or educational forays into the rain forest can be arranged. Room was basic and clean, ok breakfast. If going that way I would advise A 4×4.

We were so happy with our experience at Camino Verde. Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome by Jose who recommended activities and made reservations for us. It couldn't have been easier. He also got us a great deal on a canapy tour ($35 instead of $50/person) and recommended a great dinner spot. The breakfast was amazing in the... More

Cute place with an amazing view from the deck. We loved their breakfast and common kitchen area. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. We stayed at many different hotels during our 2 week visit to Costa Rica, but looking back to our stays, this place was the best, even better than a few expensive hotels we stayed... More

The walls of our room were paper thin and we didn't have a window. There wasn't a hot tap on the bathroom sink and the shower was luke warm with low water pressure. Doors were locked from 9pm which was annoying. Great views from the communal balconies and the room rate was considerably cheaper than average in the Santa Elena... More

We loved our stay at Camino Verde. The staff were very welcoming and helped us organise numerous great tours and activities. We were really impressed with our room which was clean and very comfortable. The shared terrace was the perfect to relax and enjoy the view with a complimentary coffee. Good selection of breakfast choices, the gallo pinto was delicious... More

The B&B is located with view out in the rainforest making it have a breathtaking view for sunsets and sunrises. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we would have taken more advantage of the community kitchen which was equipped with all the necessary appliances and kitchen tools. The service by Andres was impeccable. We actually booked our ziplining tour... More

This hotel is extremely good value, clean and the staff are knowledgeable and speak perfect English. Location is ideal, right in the city centre so perfect for exploring Monteverde. I would recommend this B&B!

This is the only hotel I've stayed at in Monteverde, so I don't know how it compares to the others. We had a 5-person room, which was a bit funny (three single beds, and one double bed) for two people. It doesn't have air conditioning and the parking is quite limited (to four cars max though street-parking is readily available).... More

Cute place. It was a little tight for 3 people, it gets hot but it was a great spot. Good location and amazing view! The breakfast menu is key!!! There is a lot of excursions to do so make sure to check with the reception to hook you up. Friendly staff. I would go back.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
