Cheap price, Great location, great breakfast, great rooms, and UNLIMITED COFFEE!! Also the staff were incredible. My friend lost her phone on one of the tours, and the staff kept on calling the company until her phone was found. I highly suggest that everyone stays here! it was incredible.

All three hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about local tourism. They answered all my questions regarding transportation and excursion trips prompty before I arrived and during my stay. They also also very accommodating. The facility was very nicely designed and clean as well. One thing I was really not happy about is the shuttle company they used, which is...

I stayed at camino verde in the second week of November last year for 2 nights. I told Ernie I wanted to see some wildlife and he sent me on the night wildlife tour within about 30 mins of arrival. I saw snakes, frogs, scorpions, tarantulas, possums and plenty else. The next day I had a tour booked in the morning...

We ended up at Camino Verde last minute after a bad experience at a nearby AirBnB (yeah, we've all had them), and it was such a lucky find! Ernie was so great, accommodating, and helpful. The room was so clean and the shower was good and hot. The common spaces are delightful - especially the big outdoor porch and dinning...

Love this place! It is so well located with a beautiful view from the patio. The staff is helpful, the breakfast options plenty (and delicious) and the rooms are cozy. We stayed in a triple (actually a double bed and bunk beds) with our own bathroom and it was comfortable with plenty of space. Want to stay here again!

Andreas has been helping people feel at home at Camino Verde since he was 11. We only had the pleasure of meeting himself and his wife as well as the fantastic breakfast staff. The place is super clean and beautifully presented. There are small sitting areas with magazines. Continuous access to free coffee and tea and easy availability to wine...

We had a great two night stay at Camino Verde. The room had two queen beds with a tiny balcony and large bathroom- but still big enough for four people, especially for the price. From here, we were able to explore the town of Monteverde on foot and also easily access the Cloud forest by car. The rooms were clean...

This was a great choice for our time in Monteverde. The hotel is located on a hillside overlooking town. Our room was very comfortable and clean and, though our room had no view, the dining and deck area was close and had nice views over the valley. The place has a social feel with lots of opportunities to get to...

Very helpful receptionists when recommending tours and giving directions for further travel. The b&b offers free coffee and tee all day long. You can choose from 5 types of breakfast. The downsite is that some rooms have small windows up by the sealing and limited air circulation. All in all good value for money.

Nice and clean B&B, Friendly staff, on a dirt road off the main road to Santa Elena. Lots of little restaurants nearby and excursions to various thrill adventures or educational forays into the rain forest can be arranged. Room was basic and clean, ok breakfast. If going that way I would advise A 4×4.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
